If anyone is interested, I've put together a simple reference chart showing the chronology of Jeremiah. It can be used to guide chronological reading, or when studying to see the context of any given chapter you're reading and how it fits with the other chapters as well.

It's in .pdf form, 8 1/2" x 11" standard size for printing.

Looked over chart....might thing about the blend of Babylon with the Daughter of Babylon which chapters 50 and 51 are primarily concerned with....this scope begins to be revealed in Psalm 137......also....you might want to note that post Babylonian siege he pens Lamentations over the destruction of Jerusalem....nice chart over all migo

Thanks for the good thoughts. I'm still a little puzzled over Lamentations. Chapter 1 almost seems like Jeremiah is writing from King Zedekiah's point of view.

(v.19) I called for my lovers, But they deceived me; My priests and my elders breathed their last in the city. (v.16) My children are desolate because the enemy prevailed. And sounding repentant in v.18: The Lord is righteous, for I rebelled against His commandment. Hear now, all peoples, and behold my sorrow; My virgins and my young men have gone into captivity. (v.20) I have been very rebellious.

What do y'all think?

It is possible for sure....think on it this way....

a. The call for his lovers <--help from the kingdoms allied with Judah <-God makes this reference in numerous books and no help came

b. The princes and priests spoke false words and prophetic utterences of deception and delivery....did not happen and they perished in the city

c. The children of Judah lay desolate in the city and many were killed and also eaten due to the seige and cannibalism

d. The Kings as well as Judah was warned to consider their brothers in the North "Israel" and failed to obey or repent.

e. The young virgins and goodly faithful children were spared and were carried away captive...boys like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, Azariah and others.....

An interesting study....Look the names of the 4 listed above up and then look at the Book of Daniel in a different light....Also...concerning the above...God has a very unique way of blending numerous truths or contexts into one line of thought.....good stuff for sure
