I was just reading part of the resurrection story, and I noticed something! I remember there are verses where Jesus talks about Judas betraying Him. He said that although the betrayer thought he was giving Him over, but that it wasn’t that way. Jesus was choosing to let Himself be captured. And I found another interesting verse that kinda suggested that again.

In Matthew there is a verse where Judas asks if he’s the one that’s gonna betray Him, and He pretty much says “Yeah you said it.” HE LITERALLY TOLD JUDAS THAT HE WOULD BETRAY HIM. But you notice that no one reacts? No one says “How dare you betray our Teacher!!” or tries to jump him from across the table. Why? Because Jesus didn’t want them to. Because God the Father shut the ears (or at least the thoughts of what that means) to the men at the table. He willed Jesus to save the world, and Jesus willed to do the Father’s will.

Just interesting

I love it when a verse I have read before suddenly becomes a new meaning to what I had once believed it to be. That is the beauty of Scripture. It will enlighten you each time you read it over and over.

I always did find that odd I just figured maybe the apostles were not understanding what kind of betrayal Jesus was talking about. I mean I guess Jesus wasn't exactly describing the betrayal and what would happen because of it he just said one of you will betray me.

Judas made a choice that dovetailed with the will of God, Who foreknew the events.

We must never lose sight of the fact that Jesus gave His life willingly :)

Yeah. You can see something similar when Jesus slips into the crowd and blends in, seemingly disappearing, also how no one noticed the most sought after person, walking around resurrected before going back to the Father. Would not both Romans and Jews want to seize Him? But God must have veiled their eyes temporarily, even Mary who knew His voice doesn't recognize Jesus at first while talking with Jesus and thinking it was a gardener. I thought at first that His appearance might've changed but that can probably be discarded since wounds remained on His body which we know from conversation with Thomas.

That is true I mean his face and voice was well known all around. Although technically mary wasn't wrong about him being a gardener he did plant the seeds in peoples hearts and groom them as they matured

If I’m not mistaken it was the one Jesus loved that ask and Simon Peter pretty much ask the question through that disciple, Judas over heard the question and spoke about it first probably he was already thinking about it.

Though I do scratch my head on these accounts, one states the one Jesus gives the bread to and the other says the one who dips his hand in the same bowl, these seem like parables or something but the wordage doesn’t quite line up any thoughts out there?

Mathew 26
22They were deeply grieved and began to ask Him one after another, “Surely not I, Lord?” 23Jesus answered, “The one who has dipped his hand into the bowl with Me will betray Me.

John 13:26
Jesus answered, “It is the one to whom I give this piece of bread after I have dipped it.” Then He dipped the piece of bread and gave it to Judas son of Simon Iscariot.

Well I can't take the credit God is the one who placed it on my heart. He can and will use anything to teach and speak to his children they just have to know how to hear his voice.

I mean he even used my favorite anime show Naruto to speak to and teach me simply because I was willing to hear

The four gospels are mixed up, there are bits of information spread through out them.
there is a theory that the one Jesus loved was John and John didn’t mention his name out of meekness or being modest but I don’t think that’s the case, there was 60 disciples that didn’t get chosen yet I think they still followed him and still did things like prepare the Passover meal so that He and the twelve would arrive later to eat and those two disciples was present at the last supper along with the twelve disciples IMO. the statement to the 12 disciples about the hand dipping into the same bowl I think is a parable of sort. I mentioned Judas speaking on it first yet could of been last but I think the one reclining close to Jesus wasn’t one of the 12 disciples yet a disciple.

Jh 13:18 I am not speaking about all of you; I know whom I have chosen. But this is to fulfill the Scripture: ‘The one who shares My bread has lifted up his heel against Me.’
Jh 13:19 I am telling you now before it happens, so that when it comes to pass, you will believe that I am He.
Jh 13:20 Truly, truly, I tell you, whoever receives the one I send receives Me, and whoever receives Me receives the One who sent Me.”

Jh 13:21 After Jesus had said this, He became troubled in spirit and testified, “Truly, truly, I tell you, one of you will betray Me.”
Lk 22:21 Look! The hand of My betrayer is with Mine on the table.
Lk 22:22 Indeed, the Son of Man will go as it has been determined, but woe to that man who betrays Him.”

Lk 22:23 Then they began to question among themselves which of them was going to do this.
Mt 26:25 Then Judas, who would betray Him, said, “Surely not I, Rabbi?” Jesus answered, “You have said it yourself.”
Mk 14:19 They began to be grieved and to ask Him one after another, “Surely not I?”
Mk 14:20 He answered, “It is one of the Twelve—the one who is dipping his bread into the bowl with Me.

Jh 13:23 One of His disciples, the one whom Jesus loved, was reclining at His side.
Jh 13:24 So Simon Peter motioned to him to ask Jesus which one He was talking about.
Jh 13:25 Leaning back against Jesus, he asked, “Lord, who is it?”
Jh 13:26 Jesus answered, “It is the one to whom I give this piece of bread after I have dipped it.” Then He dipped the piece of bread and gave it to Judas son of Simon Iscariot.
Jh 13:27 And when Judas had taken the piece of bread, Satan entered into him. Then Jesus said to Judas, “What you are about to do, do quickly.”

Jh 13:28 But no one at the table knew why Jesus had said this to him.
Jh 13:29 Since Judas kept the money bag, some thought that Jesus was telling him to buy what was needed for the feast, or to give something to the poor.
Jh 13:30 As soon as he had received the piece of bread, Judas went out into the night.

God has to end this sin business on earth one day for He is not going to allow mankind to keep on sinning forever, and has given mankind a certain amount of time to offer them salvation, and then He will put the wicked down.

No power can rule unless God allows it, so God is allowing the world a certain amount of time to have their way and follow the New Age Christ, antichrist, and when they follow him, and take his mark then repentance and salvation is no longer available to the world and God will put the world down, and have His people with Him.

Which when the beast claims to be God he has power to continue for three and one half years, and has power over all nations, kindreds, and tongues, which he could not have that power unless God allows it.

2Th 2:6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.
2Th 2:7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.

God is holding back the devil from having too much influence in the world so the devil is on a leash, but one day the devil will be off his leash concerning the wicked and will deceive all people that do not love God to follow him, which God will give all people that do not love Him strong delusion to follow the beast.

Which will not happen until there is a falling away first, when the transgressors are come to the full, which is when the nations come together and say Peace and safety as they work for peace on earth, and the New Age Christ establishes peace in the Middle East between the Jews and Palestinians, and they stop the preaching of anything taught contrary to the new age movement, and probably a hate crime, and punishable in the international criminal court system for they will say it is not true, and they want peace not division.

So they stop the preaching of the Gospel, and then three and one half years later they accept the New Age Christ, and then the devil is off his leash concerning the wicked and deceives all people who do not love God.

Dan 11:36 And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done.
Dan 11:37 Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all.
Dan 11:38 But in his estate shall he honour the God of forces( power of nature, the evolutionary process which people are still evolving): and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honour with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things.

So God is allowing the New Age Christ to deceive the world so He can end this sin business on earth, so it was planned out, but it is because of the wickedness of the man of sin that he followed the inner circle of the occult, believing people are still evolving, and he shall not regard the God of his fathers, but believed in no God.

Which America has been pushing for peace in the Middle East, and wanting the nations to come together for peace.

America is known as a Christian nation but the New Age Christ will not regard the God of his fathers, but follow the inner circle of the occult, the new age movement.

Babylon acknowledged the God of Israel at the time that king Nebuchadnezzar ruled, which he said that the God of Israel is the greatest God of all the gods, and proclaimed that throughout his kingdom, and said if anyone says anything against the God of Israel they would be cut in pieces and their house made a dunghill.

But Babylon blew if after the king died, and went to praising false gods, and since God stripped the kingdom from them and gave it to the Medes and Persians and Babylon became known as the kingdom of man then they probably did not acknowledge the God of Israel at all.

And America will blow it too and eventually not acknowledge the God of Israel, as well as the wicked of the world, which they resurrected the Babylonian system, the daughter of Babylon, the kingdom of man.

God said He is going to gather all nations together against Jerusalem, and then fight against them and defeat them, the battle of Armageddon, so that includes the nation of America too.

Luk 22:3 Then entered Satan into Judas surnamed Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve.
Luk 22:4 And he went his way, and communed with the chief priests and captains, how he might betray him unto them.

Act 1:25 That he may take part of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place.

Joh 17:12 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.

2Th 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition.

So God allowed Judas Iscariot to betray Jesus so it was planned out, but it was because of the wickedness of Judas, which he went to his own place, and would be an antichrist, and he is known as the son of perdition, and that spirit will appear in the future with the antichirst who is the son of perdition.

We simply need to harmonize the four Gospels to get the picture. Even then we may not be getting all the details. But Christ chose Judas as a disciple knowing EXACTLY and in advance what he would do. In fact the prophecies regarding Judas make that perfectly clear. Judas had a critical role to play in the betrayal and crucifixion of Christ. And he did what was expected by the Lord.

I think the dipping into the same bowel could possibly represent something. Jesus mentions how the bread represents his body and though the church had not been formed at the time all who followed him during his journey and who basked in his teaching could be seen as the body and the bowel of water they dipped in could be the representation of how the twelve had tasted the same living water that Jesus gave in all his teachings and journey with them.
it was only after the dipping Jesus was troubled in spirit after all it must have hurt pretty badly to have one of the twelve who had all tatsed the living water betray you. But this is just a theory

Technically yes the dipping and drinking happened twice at the last supper.

Luke 22
20In the same way, after supper He took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is poured out for you.

Yes I can see that, Judas has already taken the thirty pieces of silver before the Passover meal unkown to the other disciples, rather or not Judas had taken the money, it was going to happen, a passage in Matthew is interesting it may have better if he wasn’t born but what if he wasn’t born would the event still unfold.

Matthew 26

I just saw another in the same chapter in verse 64 where the high priest is roasting Him and asked Him flat out of He was Christ. He once again said “Yeah you said it” and they don’t get it. They freak out instead. Amazing
