Where are you going to?

  • “When wisdom enters into your heart, and knowledge is pleasing to your soul; judgment shall keep you, understanding shall keep you, they will deliver you from the strange woman, the stranger who flatters with her words, who forsakes the guide of her youth and forgets the covenant of her God. *For her house bows down to death, and her paths to the dead.* ” (Proverbs 2.10,11,16-18).

In the moments of conflict at home, many man fools around trying to find some fun with lovers, including divorced woman (and vice-versa). It’s obvious that, in the middle of the crisis, we verge on people that make us feel good. Nonetheless, if we muse carefully, we will perceive that, doing this, we are bowing down to death, that is to say, we are being inured to pass through this life without making up any transformation.

There is no point watching the things taking place and only get angry about the injustice in the world. If we desire to make difference, to be useful to Jesus in the life of people around us, never think in divorce. Remember what is written:

  • “ *He that separates himself¨* seeks his own desire; he *breaks out against all sound wisdom*.” (Proverbs 18.1).

And what does it comes about with whom breaks out against all sound wisdom?

  • “The man who wanders out of the way of understanding shall rest in the assembly of departed spirits. (Proverbs 21.16)

So if you don’t wish to walk toward to the dead, forgive your spouse, stay around him/her all the time (recall that, if your relationship with your spouse isn’t fine, even your prayers will be precluded – 1Peter 3.7). After all:

  • “For the LORD, the God of Israel, saith that **he hateth putting away*: for one covereth violence with his garment, saith the LORD of hosts: therefore take heed to your spirit, that ye deal not treacherously.” (Malachi 2.16).

Have a lovely week walking with your spouse and children moved by the River of Eternal Life (John 4.13,14; 7.37-39).
