God on many occasions punished the Israelites for their treacherous sins with death and judgement through foreign nations. Is God anti-semitic?

Again the word of the Lord came to me: 2 “Son of man, make known to Jerusalem her abominations, 3 and say, Thus says the Lord God to Jerusalem: Your origin and your birth are of the land of the Canaanites; your father was an Amorite and your mother a Hittite. 4 And as for your birth, on the day you were born your cord was not cut, nor were you washed with water to cleanse you, nor rubbed with salt, nor wrapped in swaddling cloths. 5 No eye pitied you, to do any of these things to you out of compassion for you, but you were cast out on the open field, for you were abhorred, on the day that you were born.
Psalms 105, “He remembers His covenant forever, the word which He commanded, for a thousand generations, the covenant which He made with Abraham, and His oath to Isaac, and confirmed it to Jacob for a statute, to Israel as an everlasting covenant.”

Jer. 31-
See, I will bring them from the land of the north
and gather them from the ends of the earth.
Among them will be the blind and the lame,
expectant mothers and women in labor;
a great throng will return.
9 They will come with weeping;
they will pray as I bring them back.
I will lead them beside streams of water
on a level path where they will not stumble,
because I am Israel’s father ...

This is what the Lord says,
he who appoints the sun
to shine by day,
who decrees the moon and stars
to shine by night,
who stirs up the sea
so that its waves roar—
the Lord Almighty is his name:
36 “Only if these decrees vanish from my sight,”
declares the Lord,
“will Israel ever cease
being a nation before me.”

This is what the Lord says:
“Only if the heavens above can be measured
and the foundations of the earth below be searched out
will I reject all the descendants of Israel
because of all they have done,”
declares the Lord.

Yes, God has punished Israel, but Romans tells us there is a remnant and they will be saved. There are blessings and promises yet to be fulfilled to the chosen people, the Jews. After all these years in 1948 Israel became the nation that was born in a day. A desert land is now blooming again. God is beginning to keep His promise, He has blessed the land of Israel and He will redeem His people.

God called the nation of israel and the israelites whores, and having been given over to whoredom. Do you believe Ezekiel 16 isn't part of the bible, or that God is anti-semitic?

15 “But you trusted in your beauty and played the whore[b] because of your renown and lavished your whorings[c] on any passerby; your beauty[d] became his. 16 You took some of your garments and made for yourself colorful shrines, and on them played the whore. The like has never been, nor ever shall be.[e] 17 You also took your beautiful jewels of my gold and of my silver, which I had given you, and made for yourself images of men, and with them played the whore. 18 And you took your embroidered garments to cover them, and set my oil and my incense before them. 19 Also my bread that I gave you—I fed you with fine flour and oil and honey—you set before them for a pleasing aroma; and so it was, declares the Lord God. 20 And you took your sons and your daughters, whom you had borne to me, and these you sacrificed to them to be devoured. Were your whorings so small a matter 21 that you slaughtered my children and delivered them up as an offering by fire to them? 22 And in all your abominations and your whorings you did not remember the days of your youth, when you were naked and bare, wallowing in your blood.
23 “And after all your wickedness (woe, woe to you! declares the Lord God), 24 you built yourself a vaulted chamber and made yourself a lofty place in every square. 25 At the head of every street you built your lofty place and made your beauty an abomination, offering yourself[f] to any passerby and multiplying your whoring. 26 You also played the whore with the Egyptians, your lustful neighbors, multiplying your whoring, to provoke me to anger. 27 Behold, therefore, I stretched out my hand against you and diminished your allotted portion and delivered you to the greed of your enemies, the daughters of the Philistines, who were ashamed of your lewd behavior. 28 You played the whore also with the Assyrians, because you were not satisfied; yes, you played the whore with them, and still you were not satisfied. 29 You multiplied your whoring also with the trading land of Chaldea, and even with this you were not satisfied.

Yeah, we established that they sinned. God said He would punish them, but He also has never stopped loving them, He will save them and redeem them. He has not taken His hand off of the Jewish people. He is re-gathering them from all the corners of the earth, back to the land He deeded to Abraham and his descendants in the OT. He made and everlasting covenant. If God won't keep his promises to the Jews, you have no assurance of your salvation. Either God keeps His promises or He doesn't.

@kaylagrl, here's something you might be able to answer for me.

If a jew who rejects Jesus as his savior dies, does he go to hell?
If a non-jew who rejects Jesus as his savior dies, does he go to hell?

If a jew who trusts Jesus as his savior dies, does he go to heaven?
If a non-jew who trusts Jesus as his savior dies, does he go to heaven?

I'm interested if you think the jew and non-jew get different treatment for some reason. If they do, then it feels like that diminishes Jesus. If they don't, then what's the big deal about jews? They're no different than anyone else.

Yes.

If a non-jew who rejects Jesus as his savior dies, does he go to hell?
Yes.

If a jew who trusts Jesus as his savior dies, does he go to heaven?
If a non-jew who trusts Jesus as his savior dies, does he go to heaven?
Yes to both.

I'm interested if you think the jew and non-jew get different treatment for some reason.
No, they both come through the cross.

If they do, then it feels like that diminishes Jesus. If they don't, then what's the big deal about jews? They're no different than anyone else.
The deal is that the Jews are now blinded, but only until all the Gentiles come in. Then a remnant will be saved. The big deal is that the church doesn't replace the Jews in all the blessings while the Jews get all the curses. There are promises yet to be fulfilled to the Jews.So you tell me, whats the big deal and all the hate? We were lost in sin, treacherous, enemies of the cross till Jesus saved us. Same for the Jews. I'm not the one making the big deal about it. Y'all are.

...So you tell me, whats the big deal and all the hate?...
1. Take it easy on the language. If you say I hate them, then I could just as easily say you worship them. And that wouldn't be productive.
2. Have you ever noticed that jews somehow have this ability to always play the poor, oppressed victim while simultaneously making rules such that if you say anything less than complimentary about them, then you can lose your job, get kicked off all your social media, and even lose your right to conduct business. In many places you'll even wind up in jail if you don't believe their stories. So forgive me if I'm unable to answer your question. If I do, (and I am sorely tempted) then someone will accuse me of the worst crime in the history of humanity, and I'll lose my posting privileges here. But just know, that I'd rather die than bend the knee to those that hate Jesus.

If you ever want to know who runs things, just take note of who you're not allowed to criticize.

You follow this comment by this

The Bible says to bless the Jews, why aren't you? Some blacks right now are demanding reparations from people who not only don't have slaves, but don't agree with slavery. Some blacks are saying that white cops murder blacks more often than anyone else, even though stats prove that to untrue. Some blacks believe that white people all have privilege and they need to admit that and that they are racist. See, you can pull out any race and make them look bad.

In many places you'll even wind up in jail if you don't believe their stories.
Which stories??

But just know, that I'd rather die than bend the knee to those that hate Jesus.
Well, just so you know, Christ loves them ( just as he loved you when you were in sin and hated Him) So if you expect to spend eternity with a Jewish Jesus, you'd better learn to love those whom He loves and told us to bless.

1. That is just one interpretation.
2. The way to bless them is to tell them they need Jesus. You know how many times I've heard Christians avoid telling jews they need Jesus because God has a "special plan" for them? That is NOT blessing! That is the opposite.

See, you can pull out any race and make them look bad.

This is an inevitability. Mixing people together is a tool that governments use to get people fighting each other. In this way they can have an excuse to exert tighter controls on everyone. If you want peace, then don't encourage so much close mixing. It is poisonous to societal cohesion. Just let people have their space among their own kind. African migration to Europe is going to be a big factor in bringing WW3. WW3 is going to make WW2 look like a light pregame warmup.

1. Again, that's not the only way to interpret the Bible. That is a relatively new way of reading the text. Maybe it's correct, but maybe not. I used to think dispensationalism was the only way of reading the text.
2. In order to learn and grow, you've GOT to challenge your currently held assumptions. This is difficult. It involves swallowing your pride a little bit. I admit that I do have an advantage over you in this department because I'm not as zealous as you. Your zeal produces strengths and weaknesses. My lack of zeal produces other strengths and weaknesses. I am able to more easily change directions as I gather more information and see errors in my views. But my lack of zeal means I basically never accomplish much of anything. I believe you're kind of the opposite. Both types are needed. Christians need to act as a team and feed off each other's strengths.

Again, I think you're honest and sincere. And for that you have my respect. :)

1. That is just one interpretation.
Num. 24 The nation is like a mighty lion;
When it is sleeping, no one dares wake it.
Whoever blesses Israel will be blessed,
And whoever curses Israel will be cursed.”

Gen 12
I will bless those who bless you,
But I will curse those who curse you.
And through you I will bless all the nations

Ps 12
6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.

Seems pretty clear to me...

2. The way to bless them is to tell them they need Jesus. You know how many times I've heard Christians avoid telling jews they need Jesus because God has a "special plan" for them? That is NOT blessing! That is the opposite.
So now you're usurping God's authority? Why would you avoid telling Jews about Jesus? They'll get saved the same way we all do. There are all kinds of Christian orgs. reaching out to Jews, CUFI being one of the biggest. Never heard of such nonsense.

This one is totally out of my realm of knowledge, so I'll remain silent on this.

If I'm gonna err, I'm gonna err on the side of caution. Jesus loves the Jewish people, so should we. He loved us while we were still in sin. The Word says to bless and pray for them and that's what I do.

2. In order to learn and grow, you've GOT to challenge your currently held assumptions.
No my friend, God's Word is unchanging. That's the reason we are where we are today. People twist the Bible to say all kinds of things are acceptable that aren't. God does not change, His Word is perfectly clear. It's not "assumptions" it's what the Word says.

Well brother, I don't know how long you have been saved. I have sat under a lot of ministry in my lifetime, a lot of great teachers and preachers. Been in ministry myself. None of this makes me any better Christian or person than anyone else, it just means I have a lot of experience and maturity beyond my age. And I never yet have seen God fail to keep His promises, have you? You know, I'm not a dogmatic person in life. I grew up with a father who was, so I made sure I was different. But, that being said, there are things that I believe and stand for because I believe they are right. This is one of those things. On the up side, if I'm in your corner, I'll fight till the death.

Again, I think you're honest and sincere. And for that you have my respect. :)
Brother, I'm a long way from a perfect person. If you know the old song "He's still workin' on me". I'm glad that you understand where I'm coming from. Not everyone can handle it and I understand, I'm not everyones favorite person. But in real life, you might actually find you can tolerate me. lol

Who is Israel in the New Covenant?

Romans 9

But it is not as though the word of God has failed. For not all who are descended from Israel belong to Israel, 7 and not all are children of Abraham because they are his offspring, but “Through Isaac shall your offspring be named.” 8 This means that it is not the children of the flesh who are the children of God, but the children of the promise are counted as offspring.

No. Total miscommunication. I will tell jews about Jesus. What I'm saying is that I have run into Christians that think that jews don't need to be told about Jesus because God has another plan for them.

No my friend, God's Word is unchanging. That's the reason we are where we are today. People twist the Bible to say all kinds of things are acceptable that aren't. God does not change, His Word is perfectly clear. It's not "assumptions" it's what the Word says.
True. God's word doesn't change. But there are a million different ways people read it. Everyone thinks their read is the correct one. Chances are no one has it all figured out. I'm sure I've got errors. I'm also looking for them to get rid of them.

But you know what's more important than being "correct"? It's being willing to be useful to God. Pray to be used effectively and I think He'll eventually lead you to truth bit by bit.

I never yet have seen God fail to keep His promises, have you? You know, I'm not a dogmatic person in life. I grew up with a father who was, so I made sure I was different. I have seen God not answer prayers. I'm gonna trust Him anyway. I'll trust that He knows best. I'll trust that His timing might be a bit different than mine. So maybe those prayers get answered in a way that I can't see yet. Not sure that I've seen him renege on a promise.

I like direct people. I like people that just tell you what they think and let the chips fall where they may. Even if I don't agree them. Still respect someone willing to say what they think regardless of the consequences.

I just tell the truth as best I can. If I don't get called a racist, sexist, homophobic, antisemitic nazi at least once a day, then I feel like I'm not doing my job. Usually it's the anti-christian left that tells me that though. So my advise to you would be to stop and reconsider when you find yourself using the same, tired old rhetoric and insults as the anti-christians. It's usually (but not always) an indicator that you're scraping the bottom of your intellectual barrel.

Yes! You are totally correct. It's suicidal to allow mass immigration from anywhere! Mass immigration is no different than warfare. It IS warfare. The "melting pot" is another psyop (from Israel Zangwill) designed to get us to swallow the suicide pill called diversity.
America is OVER

So how can we be assured of anything if no one is right or everyone has a different interpretation? The Bible becomes useless if we can't trust it.

But you know what's more important than being "correct"? It's being willing to be useful to God. Pray to be used effectively and I think He'll eventually lead you to truth bit by bit.
Spent a lot of years in ministry, sharing the Gospel in all denominations in all places. And I mean all places. Sidewalks, parking lots, parks, campgrounds, backyards, any place you can about name, I've been there. The Gospel is for all races. Trust me, I'm not a closed minded person. I had a wonderful conversation with two nuns after an evening concert. Do agree on everything? Not by a long shot, but we had a lengthy conversation about ministry and about the Lord. I'm no shrinking flower in talking to people.

Right, because if He didn't keep just one of His promises, you and I have no hope or assurance of salvation. I have a friend in the ministry who named his group "Assurance", I thought that was a great name.

I like direct people. I like people that just tell you what they think and let the chips fall where they may. Even if I don't agree them. Still respect someone willing to say what they think regardless of the consequences.
Yeah I agree with that. I'd rather someone be straight with me then for me to find out later they weren't being truthful. I think I trust direct people more. Sometimes they hurt your feelings, but I'd rather that than a faker or some that is two faced. Give it to me straight and I can deal with it.

Not the church. It's simply saying just because you are a Jew doesn't mean you get a pass. Your bloodline doesn't save you. You have to have a relationship with the Messiah. That has nothing to do with the church.

Correct, but I don't like being called the slang term "Jew." This is generally said as an insult and it's incorrect grammatically.

The term itself was born from the German Yuden or Judah and simply refers to everyone emanating from the tribe of Judah, which is ridiculous.

My name was invented out of antisemitism and I wear it as a proud badge.

Zawada is Polish and means "stumbling block Jew" from 2nd Peter (German stolperstein) as granted by Polish authority for taxation.

Non-Jewish Poles believe this word means "a place of difficulty," as Poland redefines it's nation to forget about their past.

Yet the town of Zawada is a half hour drive from Auschwitz where many of my family members were murdered as well as at Dachau.

That's for those of you who ignorantly believe the holocaust to be fake, "holohoax" you say. My family is living survivors of what many call fake.

Martin Luther's treatise against the "Jews" for the Babylonian/Jerusalem Talmud printing renewed the anti "Jew" slang.

The insult after the 16th century birthed from Greek/Latin to German to English:

Early use of slang word “Jew” as translated from Latin “Iudaeos”

Iudaeos = jew, Juden, Judíos (English, German, Spanish)

Iudaico = jewish, jüdisch, judío (English, German, Spanish)

Iudaeo = "jude" used by Tacitus, yet Google does not define this word.

Iudaeae = Judea (a place)

The translation of Histories 5.2-5

[2] Sed quoniam famosae urbis supremum diem tradituri sumus, congruens videtur primordia eius aperire. Iudaeos Creta insula profugos novissima Libyae insedisse memorant, qua tempestate Saturnus vi Iovis pulsus cesserit regnis.

As "Jews" we are fully aware of who our Mashiach is - those who have not found Jesus, real name Ἰησοῦς, or Immanuel, Εμμανουήλ, are simply under the prophecy of Isaiah until Yom YHWH, or the return of our Mashiach who took away karbanot by destroying the Temple (Beit HaMikdash) in AD 70. According to our Mashiach, the tares must grow together with the wheat until the end of the age.

I guess I saw "Jew" as more a Biblical name, certainly not a slander or slight. I don't think it's considered as such stateside.

Yes, I had read that somewhere online. I'm guessing as more survivors pass away the more the Holocaust will be forgotten, unfortunately.

I cannot understand how anyone can believe the Holocaust never happened. With a literal ton of evidence, survivors testimonies and the fact that Germans were forced to see the camps, how could anyone deny the truth?

Kayla, I took no offense at all, was just pointing out some reality. :) Not all those who claim to be Jewish regard the term as an insult and you will find Israeli's do not like to be called "Jews" or compared to Brooklyn Jews as we have different beliefs based on where we were raised (whether in a cult or not) Europe / U.S. / Israel. etc,.

One thing has not changed and that is the word of God or Torah, referred to as the Old Testament, which it is not. The word of God is a living breathing entity that governs all humanity. Jesus our Adonai, as stated did not come to abolish the law but to fulfill it, that it be written in our hearts and minds - and that Eloheinu would be our God and we would be His people through HaMashiach Jesus.
