Having been a part of the denomination I can tell you and it is easily verified on the web that the Pentecostal logic is:

1. All followers of Jesus should be baptized in the Holy Spirit.
2. The initial physical evidence of this baptism is speaking in tongues.
3. Therefore, all believers should speak in tongues.

We were taught to ask on door to door visits .... "Are you saved, WITH THE EVIDENCE OF SPEAKING IN TONGUES"?

The implication is obvious. IF you are born again YOU WILL SPEAK IN TONGUES!

Pentecostals are so certain of this logic that many consider it to be a key teaching of the Christian faith. For example, the Assemblies of God, the largest Pentecostal denomination in the world, has 16 Fundamental Truths. Number eight is this:.........
“The baptism of believers in the Holy Spirit is witnessed by the initial physical sign of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit of God gives them utterance.”

But I know I am, and I got also one of the spiritual gifts, when I became child of God.

But to be fair, i must say that some teaches that with this baptising is an separate baptism meant and call it filled ore empowered with the Holy Spirit. But the problem behind is the same, because it excludes all non charismatic/ pentecostal believers.

Without a doubt...those gifts will end. THAT is what Scriptures say.

The only question you have to ask is.......what is the PERFECT in verse #10.

Some same it is Jesus Christ. Could be. But then that answers the question...since He has come then those gifts ended.

Some say that it is heaven. BUT READ THE SCRIPTURE!. The PERFECT IS COMEING. Heaven is something we GO TO. so the problem for you still exists.

Then there is the only PERFECT thing that can apply. THE WORD OF GOD! When we received the written Word of God, and it was canonized...we then had the ONLY PERFECT thing that the Scriptures could have intended. THE BIBLE.

However.....the Scriptures teach us that we receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit at the moment of conversion.

No, I was manly in menonite brethren church, but now in a russian german church. Which is calling Baptist church, but have nothing to do with the genuine baptistchurch in germany. I was also on bibleschool where the students came from different christian Background. The church I am now, symphasies with the charismatic teachings, but dont practise them.
