1 Timothy Chapter 2

- First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgiving be made concerning all sorts of men, concerning kings and all those who are in high positions, so that we may go on leading a calm and quiet life with complete godly devotion and seriousness. This is fine and acceptable in the sight of our Savior, God, whose will is that all sorts of people should be saved and come to an accurate knowledge of truth.

- God’s will is that all sorts of people should be saved!

- And come to an accurate knowledge of truth!

- Yes, God is not partial and he wants everybody to hear about his word!

- But not only hear about it!

- But also have the opportunity to come to an accurate knowledge of truth!

- And for that it is essential to read and study and exchange about God’s word!

- Thus being 100% active and not passive!

- We can’ only listen!

- But we have to speak about it!

Titus Chapter 2

- Likewise, keep on urging the younger men to be sound in mind, showing yourself to be an example of fine works in every way. Teach what is pure with all seriousness, using wholesome speech that cannot be criticized, so that those who oppose may be put to shame, having nothing negative to say about us.

- Paul urges the younger men to be sound in mind!

- Then it will be easier for them when they get older to maintain such an attitude!

- Because in our modern world it is every time getting more and more difficult
because of its bad spirit which is contaminated!

- And the disciples are supposed to be an example of fine works in every way!

- We have to show such an attitude and spirit!

- It is necessary to show the example so that in turn other people may act the same way!

- It is a big responsibility!

- Teach what is pure and not nonsense!

- Using seriousness and not the contrary!

- Because if we follow the spirit of this world, people won’t recognize our message!

- Using wholesome speech!

- That is conducive to or characterized by moral well-being!

- Like a distinctive sign people can recognize!

Hebrews Chapter 2

- For it began to be spoken through our Lord and was verified for us by those who heard him, while God joined in bearing witness with signs and wonders and various powerful works and with the holy spirit distributed according to his will.

- Paul was helped in his mission by God and Jesus!

- He made miracles!

- Even his clothes could cure people like no others!

- And the disciples would receive holy spirit according to God’s will!

- According to the hard work done by the disciples!

- Some receiving more than others according to their actions!

- A person who analyses and describes a complex phenomenon in terms of its simple or fundamental constituents.

- Reductionism is an approach that is used in many disciplines, including psychology, that is centered on the belief that we can best explain something by breaking it down into its individual parts.

- And using one word?

https://targetstudy.com/one-word-substitution/

“One word substitutes” as the phrase indicates itself are the words that replace group of words or a full sentence effectively without creating any kind of ambiguity in the meaning of the sentences. Like the word “Autobiography” can be used in place of the sentence “The life story of a man written by himself”. It is very important to write precisely and speak in a single word. Generally, we speak or write in a garrulous way. But, it is seen that precise words are always understood easily by all. At times we become verbose which is not required and we are required to talk or speak precisely. This not only makes the language easily comprehendible but also makes it beautiful. The other way, we can say that these words are used to bring an effect of compression in any kind of writing, for example in business communication there are instances when we have to write a lot with in limitation of time and space, there these kind of words can prove quite handy. In English language there are a lots of single words for a group of words that can be used effectively to make the writing to the point that too without losing the meaning of the context.

- Maybe you missed something important as many people do!

- It is the way to look at something from different angles!

- When you see something from the top, you can't see it from beneath!

- But maybe it is too complicated!

- Of course, it is easier to take the train at the station rather than when it is at full speed!

Romans Chapter 2

- Now we know that God’s judgment is in harmony with truth, against those who practice such things. But do you suppose, O man, that while you judge those who practice such things and yet you do them, you will escape the judgment of God? Or do you despise the riches of his kindness and forbearance and patience, because you do not know that God in his kindness is trying to lead you to repentance?

- No one can escape God’s judgment!

- God is kindness and forbearance and patience!

- And he wants the maximum of people to repent!

- He did it with the Israelites even if they didn’t listen!

- He keeps doing it with humankind even if the majority doesn’t care and follows man’s tradition instead of God’s word!

1 Corinthians Chapter 2

- Now we speak wisdom among those who are mature, but not the wisdom of this system of things nor that of the rulers of this system of things, who are to come to nothing. But we speak God’s wisdom in a sacred secret, the hidden wisdom, which God foreordained before the systems of things for our glory. It is this wisdom that none of the rulers of this system of things came to know, for if they had known it, they would not have executed the glorious Lord. But just as it is written: “Eye has not seen and ear has not heard, nor have there been conceived in the heart of man the things that God has prepared for those who love him.”

- We speak wisdom among those who are mature!

- Here Paul connects wisdom with maturity!

- But wisdom is not always connected with maturity!

- It is necessary to look for it!

- It is necessary to dig it!

- It is necessary to fight with it!

- it is rare among men!

- Superficiality is more common!

- Eye has not seen and ear has not heard!

Galatians Chapter 2

- I went up as a result of a revelation, and I presented to them the good news that I am preaching among the nations. This was done privately, however, before the men who were highly regarded, to make sure that I was not running or had not run in vain. Nevertheless, not even Titus, who was with me, was compelled to be circumcised, although he was a Greek. But that matter came up because of the false brothers brought in quietly, who slipped in to spy on the freedom we enjoy in union with Christ Jesus, so that they might completely enslave us; we did not yield in submission to them, no, not for a moment, so that the truth of the good news might continue with you.

- False brothers wanted to force people from the nations to be circumcised!

- But Paul speaks about the freedom we enjoy in union with Christ Jesus!

- Some want to enslave us but it is not going to stop us!

- And the truth of the good news must continue to spread!

- It is too important!

- More and more people must hear about the good news with simple words easy to understand and words which come from our hearts and in connection with our lives!

Ephesians Chapter 3

- So when you read this, you can realize my comprehension of the sacred secret of the Christ. In other generations this secret was not made known to the sons of men as it has now been revealed to his holy apostles and prophets by spirit, namely, that people of the nations should, in union with Christ Jesus and through the good news, be joint heirs and fellow members of the body and partakers with us of the promise.

- And it was necessary to wait so much time for it!

- But now we have God’s word through the whole Bible!

- Unfortunately, many have it at hands and they don’t care!

- It is not something you open when you have time!

- It is something you breathe!

- It is something you feel with your whole body!

- It is life going through all our cells!

- It is refreshing when you use it properly!

- But it is the source of God’s wisdom not of man’s wisdom!

Philippians Chapter 1

- Now if I am to live on in the flesh, this is a fruitage of my work; yet what I would choose, I do not make known. I am torn between these two things, for I do desire the releasing and the being with Christ, which is, to be sure, far better. However, it is more necessary for me to remain in the flesh for your sakes.

- For Paul, God’s word was like a burning fire!

- An incredible magnet he was attracted to!

- And he was ready to die for it!

- But he knew he had to fulfill his mission!

- And help people know about God and Jesus!

- He was ready to accept anything to get closer to God and Jesus!

- It was like walking on the moon!

- Just like flying!

Colossians Chapter 2

- This is so that their hearts may be comforted and that they may be harmoniously joined together in love and may have all the riches that result from the full assurance of their understanding, in order to gain an accurate knowledge of the sacred secret of God, namely, Christ.

- Comfort and harmony!

- Resulting from the full assurance of our understanding!

- It is not only understanding!

- It is also being filled with it!

- Again and again!

- Without limits!

- Leading to more interconnections!

- Opening more and more doors!

- Opening our eyes and ears!

- And seeing and hearing!

- Something you have never seen before and never heard before!

- And you never have enough!

- You keep being thirsty and hungry!

Thessalonians Chapter 2

- You are witnesses, God is also, of how loyal and righteous and blameless we behaved toward you believers.

- Loyal!

- Giving or showing firm and constant support or allegiance to a person or institution!

- Do we really understand what it means?

- Righteous!

- Morally right or justifiable!

- According to God not according to man!

- Blameless!

- Being blameless in the Bible means to be innocent of wrongdoing and without guilt !

- Not according to the Israelites but according to the faithful servants of God!

- For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, a man, Christ Jesus, who gave himself a corresponding ransom for all - this is what is to be witnessed to in its own due time.

- Yes, one God!

- Yes, one mediator between God and men, a man, Christ Jesus!

- He died for us!

- And the minimum we can do is to thank him!

- By trying to know again and again about God and Jesus!

- By studying again and again!

- By understanding better and better!

- By living according to what we learn all the time!

- By fighting for it again and again!

Titus Chapter 2

- Let slaves be in subjection to their owners in all things, trying to please them, not talking back, not stealing from them, but showing complete trustworthiness, so that in every way they may adorn the teaching of our Savior, God. For the undeserved kindness of God has been manifested, bringing salvation to all sorts of people.

- We must please God not man!

- We must not talk back about God!

- We must not steal from him!

- We must show complete trustworthiness to him!

- Are we doing it?

Hebrews Chapter 2

- For it is not to angels that he has subjected the inhabited earth to come, about which we are speaking. But in one place a certain witness said: “What is man that you keep him in mind, or a son of man that you take care of him? You made him a little lower than angels; you crowned him with glory and honor, and appointed him over the works of your hands. All things you subjected under his feet.” By subjecting all things to him, God left nothing that is not subject to him. Now, though, we do not yet see all things in subjection to him. But we do see Jesus, who was made a little lower than angels, now crowned with glory and honor for having suffered death, so that by God’s undeserved kindness he might taste death for everyone. For it was fitting that the one for whom and through whom all things exist, in bringing many sons to glory, should make the Chief Agent of their salvation perfect through sufferings.

- Yes, God made Jesus a little lower than angels!

- Yes, he crowned him with glory and honor!

- Yes, all things he subjected under his feet!

- And Jesus accepted it from his Father!

- And he keeps faithful to him!

- He never discusses his Father’s will!

- He is the best example of faithfulness!

Romans Chapter 2

- But according to your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath for yourself on the day of wrath and of the revealing of God’s righteous judgment.

- Stubborness!

- Unrepentant heart!

- Storing up wrath for yourself on the day of wrath!

- God’s righteous judgment!

- Here we have four simple elements!

- Who cares about them?

- Sometimes it is so simple that people don’t care about!

- Nevertheless it is essential!

- We have so many examples of the two first elements in the Bible and especially in the first part of the Bible!

- But who cares about?

- Maybe it is too simple!

- The third element: are we doing anything to avoid it?

-The fourth element: What are we doing to benefit from it?

1 Corinthians Chapter 2

- For it is to us God has revealed them through his spirit, for the spirit searches into all things, even the deep things of God.

- For the spirit searches into all things, even the deep things of God!

- Apparently, for many God’s word is not sufficient!

- They prefer man’s tradition!

- Or man’s philosophy!

- They think that God’s word is too simple!

- But here we are told that the spirit searches into all things, even simple ones or what seems simple for many!

- But when you dig a bit, you realize what is simple is only simple in appearance!

- What is important is searching!

- And asking and look for answers!

- It is no theory!

- Men make many theories and when they dig a bit more these theories reveal wrong!

- But when men make theories, God and Jesus prepare everything to destroy this world of theories to bring back God’s reality which has nothing to do with theories but pure reality!

- But regarding those who seemed to be important - whatever they were makes no difference to me, for God does not go by a man’s outward appearance—those highly regarded men imparted nothing new to me.

- Yes, God does not go by a man’s outward appearance!

- That’s the same with words!

- Using simple words that people can understand and remember is better than using words people will forget!

- The type of words people use tell a lot about who they are or not!

- Remember Jesus: he used to teach with images or parables!

- Remember Genesis: simple words to explain the creation to simple people!

- So, being confident of this, I know I will remain and continue with all of you for your advancement and your joy in the faith, so that your exultation may overflow in Christ Jesus because of me when I am again present with you.

- For your advancement!

- And your joy in the faith!

- So that your exultation may overflow in Christ Jesus!

- Do you make progress in learning about God’s word?

- Or do you standstill?
