Two places. One is here: https://christianchat.com/help/terms/. I suppose plagiarism might fall under copyright infringement; but there's also Fair Use, so just because you post someone else's material it's not automatically copyright infringement. And here: https://christianchat.com/bible-discussion-forum/guidelines-for-reporting-posts.188234/.
From days of admin and mod there are cases of lawsuits over plagiarism. Like everything else lawyers get into it is convoluted keeping them busy. The longer this thread the more her post!

HI, we must remember , we live a life with JESUS. word and spirit, we all must be led by the holy spirit, learn how walk in the spirit not the flesh. for you are a child of GOD, YOU ARE MADE IN THE IMEGDE OF GOD. YOU ARE A OVER COMER, we control our emotions, and our minds, and our body's, as we surrender our selves to GOD, as a living sacrifice to him. in prayer, getting into the spirit, reading the word, walking, in your calling, knowing who you really are in Christ Jesus , you are a over comer. we all over come by the blood of the Lamb. GOD bless you; you have the peace that surpass all under standing.

Except for she did not say it, someone else did.
She found something nice and decided to share it. Ever go to the store and find a nice card you thought might cheer and encourage someone?

Ever get slapped in the face for it?

What a wonderful world.

That isn't the point though. It's actually against the law to use material by someone else and not give them credit for it. Such an easy fix. Not as easy to try and get people to see that though for some reason.

No. I have never been slapped in the face for a card or any other thing I might have done to cheer up and encourage someone.

The difference is she's posting it as if it's her own with no reference to the source.

If you memorized a poem written on that card and then posted it here in the Poetry forum as your own, or tried to publish it somewhere, that would be where the problem lies.

It's an excellent piece of work. But it's not hers. This isn't the first time she has done this. When someone brought this to her attention, she didn't receive the admonition. It is equally caring to admonish as it is to share. And her continued disobedience brings her motives into consideration. If I stole groceries from the store and gave them to hungry children, would you encourage me to continue stealing?

I did not perceive that she was consciously intending to deceive.

My bad.
She may not have been, I don't want to accuse her of that. But it is misleading, and now that she knows she should correct herself. Like Magenta said, on one of her other threads Magenta mentioned it to her, and was given an "indifferent" emoji.

I was not keeping a file on her and compiling a long rap sheet.
My bad. I was inconsiderate.

I trust your judgement on that. Do as the Lord leads. Jesus was accused of many things by the Pharisees. I would not want to be found sitting in their seat.

Really.....
I wonder is it more wrong to plagerize someone elses material or to be rude to someone for no reason?
So she should have sited her source, she wasnt rude to folks.

No apologies ever necessary for me. And the reason I wouldn't break a commandment to do good is because it's wrong. But also, God has an endless storehouse from which to bless. It's never right to do wrong.

I know your desire was to exhort and encourage.

Every idea, theology and concept that is shared here is handed to us by teachers. I thinkbyou all should site every source every time you post.

This post is the idea of Locoponydirtman.

When I go to the store and buy a card I do not steal it, I pay for it and then share it.
