Yes, mentioned a couple of times at least, and clarified = KJV translated the Hebrew ra improperly.

Do you also believe God is the author/creator of evil?

Do you think the tree of the knowledge of good and evil was evil?
Biblical evil is the opposite of good. Destruction is evil not good.

Is there some difference between evil and what you call 'biblical evil' ? Somehow I am not following whatever it is you are saying

Why did God put that tree in the garden if it were not for a choice? He told them not to eat from eat, but from all the other trees they could eat. Sounds like a choice.
There were lots of trees. They could choose to eat from them or not. They didn't need a forbidden tree to make choices. Didn't Adam make choices on what to name the animals?

Use the Bible to define biblical terms, not logic or reasoning.
Do you think God created evil? Are you using the Bible to create a way to avoid answering people?

You should know God is logical and does not cause people to have loopy thoughts

You should take your own advice.

Do you attribute evil to God? Please answer.

PS~ God invites us to reason. If you wish to make logic and reason void, that is your prerogative.

Biblical evil is the opposite of good. Example…

Jeremiah 18
7 At what instant I shall speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to pluck up, and to pull down, and to destroy it;
8 If that nation, against whom I have pronounced, turn from their evil, I will repent of the evil that I thought to do unto them.
9 And at what instant I shall speak concerning a nation, and concerning a kingdom, to build and to plant it;
10 If it do evil in my sight, that it obey not my voice, then I will repent of the good, wherewith I said I would benefit them.

God didn't put the tree in the garden to give them a "choice." He didn't say: "Okay, there it is, make the right choice." He told them not to eat from it and what would happen if they did. They didn't eat from it till Satan tempted them and made them think they had a choice. When Adam & Eve told God they hid because they were naked, He didn't say: "Ah, I see you made the wrong choice." No, He said: "Who told you you were naked? Did you eat from the tree I told you not to eat from?"
I see where you are going with this and i like it.
the real question is, they had a Tree called LIFE, ETERNAL LIFE, in the time the trees were planted and they were tempted, why didn't they eat Eternal Life?

The choice was to live or die.

God said they could eat of any tree but the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. How is what you post even a question?

16 The Lord God commanded the man, saying, “From any tree of the garden you may freely eat; Genesis 2:16

Are you actually asking why for discussion or do you really not follow the biblical narrative?

when they sinned, did God not place an Angel to keep them from eating the Tree of Eternal Life?
they had access to it, so, why not eat that First?

And God said, “Now that humankind has become like any of us, knowing good and bad, what if one should stretch out a hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever!”

So God banished humankind from the garden of Eden, to till the humus from which it was taken:

וַיְגָ֖רֶשׁ אֶת־הָֽאָדָ֑ם וַיַּשְׁכֵּן֩ מִקֶּ֨דֶם לְגַן־עֵ֜דֶן אֶת־הַכְּרֻבִ֗ים וְאֵ֨ת לַ֤הַט הַחֶ֙רֶב֙ הַמִּתְהַפֶּ֔כֶת לִשְׁמֹ֕ר אֶת־דֶּ֖רֶךְ עֵ֥ץ הַֽחַיִּֽים׃ {ס}
it was driven out; and east of the garden of Eden were stationed the cherubim and the fiery ever-turning sword, to guard the way to the tree of life.

You have not answered the question. it is a yes or not answer.

Do you believe God created evil?
What was it that God said he would do unto them? Destroy them in forty days. That destruction is the opposite of good, which is evil.

Jonah 3:10 And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not.

Just in case it has not been posted…

Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things.
your post 197

Is that a yes you believe God created evil? That was dealt with multiple times although I guess you were not here.

God created night. That is evil to you?

The Bible says this:

1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2He was with God in the beginning. 3Through Him all things were made, and without Him nothing was made that has been made. 4In Him was life, and that life was the light of men. 5The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. john 1: 1-5

So Jesus is the light of the world. Darkness does not understand nor can it overcome the light.

Explain then how God is evil? God is good. ALL the time.

Jonah 3:10 And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not.
That does not say what you say. The evil was their destruction. It does not say God is or created evil.

I can't even anymore. I understand more and more why the church is in such trouble and why people have so little faith and do not ever obtain all that God has for them. They have misapprehended God's character, taken verses out of context to support personal interpretation and declare God made evil.

GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME.
