israels testament pertaining to the destruction and desolation of Jerusalem and its temple had to be fulfilled before the New Testament could be fulfilled 🙂
Before the Second Coming perhaps.

Wow! You say the two prophets speak lies, yet God brings them back to life and calls them up to heaven.

btw, forty and two months is not in the Hebrew bible, the Tanach, old testament. Neither is a thousand two hundred and threescore days

3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.

What is in the Hebrew bible is the expression a time, times, half time. Daniel 7:25, Daniel 12:7.

first half of the 7 years
1260 days Revelation 11:3, Revelation 12:6

in the second half of the 7 years
3 1/2 days Revelation 11:9-11
42 months Revelation 11:2, Revelation 13:5
time/times/half time Daniel 7:25, Daniel 12:7, Revelation 12:14

There you go again. You have the beast reigning with Christ.

Christ reigns on the day the two witnesses ascend in the lake of fire.

This is Christ in this verse Doug. Not the beast.

15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.

16 And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God,

17 Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned.

18 And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.

19 And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.

Where do you see the beast reigning in any of that?

The New testament is fulfilled when Christ comes.Christ doesn't come untill after the tribulation of the saints .

Mathew 24

29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

No, that is something you are doing by insinuating that the two witnesses are false prophets.

The two witnesses kill agents of the beast sent to neutralize them. The two witnesses call the plagues to provide cover for the Jews fleeing to the mountains for safety. The two witnesses in Revelation 11 are God's two witnesses. Obviously, because God returns them to life and calls them up to heaven.

Do you think God will call false prophets up to heaven ?

The two witnesses do all manner of evil. They do everything Jesus commands not to do in the gospel.

Jesus said don't kill and you say the two witnesses are good because they kill.

Jesus said do unto others as you would have them do unto you and you say the two witnesses are good because they torment other people.

Umm yes.

This takes place the same day.

Revelation 11
11 And after three days and an half the spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them.

12 And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them.

13 And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven.

14 The second woe is past; and, behold, the third woe cometh quickly.

15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.

Obeying and doing the will of the Lord is the right way... in every dispensation.

You should read the gospel more.

Mathew 7:12
So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.

Revelation 11 says the two witnesses kill and toment other people. You believe they are doing unto others as they would like done to them?

There you go again. You have the beast reigning with Christ.
You are misunderstanding Revelation 11:`14-15.

With the beast having killed the two witnesses, and God having raised them back to life and called up to heaven - God has finally had enough.

Revelation 10:7 But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets. [including the two witnesses, prophets]

The seventh angel sounds announcing the third woe, to be revealed. Which will be Satan cast down to earth in Revelation 12:12, woe to the inhabiters of the earth and sea. Satan having but a time, times, half time left.

14 The second woe is past; and, behold, the third woe cometh quickly.

15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.

That's what you are misunderstanding, Shilohfoal. It's not that Christ's return and his kingdom ruling over the earth has begun at that moment that we associate with the Second Coming - but the final steps are about to be enacted of destroying Satan and his angels' kingdom that has wrecked havoc on God's creation, from the very beginning of man kind.

The twenty four elders rejoice in heaven over God enacting His Great Power to do so, reigning Supreme over all things - fall on their faces worshiping Him in joy. i.e over the fact that the time has come for Satan's end, at the Hand of God.

16 And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God,

17 Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned.

The Trib is the dispensation of the wrath of God.
The tribulation is the persecution of the saints
The time of great tribulation is to he wrath of God

revelation 1
9 I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.

John was not suffering the wrath of God in his tribulation. He was being persecuted and was in prison when he wrote revelation.

The past and the future are two completely different animals.

Rev 19:
11And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
12His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.
13And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
14And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
15And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

Christs word today is the same as it was 2000 years ago.

Mathew 24:35

The two witnesses don't do evil by thwarting the beast's agents sent to neutralize them. Why do you think the beast will make war against them? Because the two witnesses will be lying, or telling the truth ?

Killing the enemy, who intend harm in the course of war, such as the beast making war on the two witnesses, is not evil. For example,

In 2king2:35 And it came to pass that night, that the angel of the LORD went out, and smote in the camp of the Assyrians an hundred fourscore and five thousand: and when they arose early in the morning, behold, they were all dead corpses.

No, i did not say that. I said the beast rule of 42 months is after the two witnesses will have been killed.

In Revelation 11:7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.

In Revelation 11:7, the beast kills the two witnesses. The unsaved people of the world rejoice over their deaths. And react in Revelation 13:4, saying....

4 And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?
