Prayer for a dear friend

Hey ALL,

I am having a bad day as a dear friend of mine who has been battling bone cancer has been diagnosed with carcinomatous meningitis which is a secondary cancer in the fluid between the brain and the skull...prognosis is not good and the symptoms to come are horrendous and regardless of any disagreements that I have had with anyone over the scriptures I ask that you pray for this man and his family as he is a decent dude and has been a friend for 35 years now and this really sucks!

Lord, I pray you would be with Andy right now as he has just been diagnosed with this horrid disease of carcinomatous meningitis. Touch him with your healing hand and work a miracle upon his body, soul and brain. Restore him back to health once again, if it is your will. Send your angels to be with him and comfort him and his family right now. Allow him to feel their heavenly presence. Calm his mind and heart and help him know that everything will be allright no matter what, because you are in control of this situation. Take away any fear and anxiety that he is feeling, give him a sense of calmness that he can get through all of this with you at his side. Bless him and his family. I humbly ask this miracle in Jesus' name, amen.

I'm so sorry to hear about our friend Andy. I pray with all my heart and all my soul that you all find comfort in the Lord.
There are no words that can change how things come to be, although all we can do is trust in the Lord and let His word strengthen us.

May the Lord shine upon you all, and that He will carry you in this hard time.

Well, what my friend has ends with horrific pain, suffering and many terrible symptoms....He had a procedure yesterday and a stint was put into his skull to administer a type of chemo....Today I prayed that if he was to suffer that the Lord would take him out early to keep him from suffering...This afternoon he walked out of his bedroom and suffered a seizure and has blood clots on the brain that the doctors cant seem to counter...so I think my friend is on his way to the Lord and I am already missing him...so please pray for his wife and two daughters....and for those of us his friends, that his loss will not weigh as heavy upon us who know the Lord......................

I pray to the Lord that He comforts and lays His hands upon Andy and welcomes him into the kingdom of God where he will be eternally at peace and happiness.

I understand about the pain of watching the suffering of those that you care about. After awhile you don't know what to pray for anymore. I have said a prayer for the Lord to do His will for your friend and also to comfort his family and friends. Speaking for myself, watching someone you love suffer and eventually die is heart-wrenching and tears you up inside. You sound like you have been a very good friend to Andy and God will bless you for this. Your story is very sad but will have a happy ending. God Bless You.

Yeah no doubt as I went and seen him yesterday and I held his hand and told him I love him as a brother and we both cried our eyes out....when I walked away from him, knowing that I would see his face no more till the Lord comes or I die...I had to grit my teeth so hard to keep from losing it that I am pretty sure I cracked a few of my teeth....

I too add my prayers to you and andy. May the lord be both your strength and peace right now. Lord comfort and guide them with your perfect presence. Let them know that you are the light in this painful time. Let this time bring glory to you God. You are a God of all comfort. Let every circumstance fade away and let the magnificent presence of Gods light and life be ever sustaining right now.

Well...This is an update concerning my friend.....Andy has reached the end of his time under the sun and the Lord has called him home. Job 14 best fits this situation as the number of Andy's days and months have been reached and it was time for him to pass on and be translated into the Kingdom of God.....After being in a coma state for two days and his family playing a complete Johnny Cash album (go figure) He opened his eyes...told his wife and two daughters that he loved them and then passed away in peace with a smile on his face.....May the Lord be with his family for sure during this difficult time. Thanks for the prayers and even in death the Lord answers prayers as Andy did not suffer as most do with brain cancer. Thanks again!
