I am elderly, got elderly type problems and then some, including legally blind (I see to read) and mostly deaf and (give me a wailing violin please) on and on. My doctor says I am blessed that I have my mind intact, I have much to be thankful for.

I have outlasted my wonderful buddies, and now I'm dependent on others like you can't believe. I had a caretaker, she was bipolar so it made it hard but I made it until she had me in the car for 45 minutes of berating me and yelling at me until I just couldn't take it any more. When I asked her to leave she called my daughter who blamed me for not getting along with her and even gave her my car I had signed over to my daughter so she could. I can't drive with my eyes, but I thought it would be an out for hiring someone to take me where I have to go.

As the caretaker left she said you have chosen to have no one now, you are up against it. And she is right. I chose not to listen to the putdowns any more, and yelling back would really be a dead end street. It was put up or shut up, and I just can't do it any more.

Now!! No groceries even. I think my church will find someone for my prescriptions. I think of Elijah, and just as he made it fine I think I will, too, but I NEED prayers.

Ask and you shall receive!! :) Lord, please bless RT today as she is struggling with certain needs. Send her the people she needs to help her get her meds and groceries. Provide for her every need in Jesus name, amen.

I am so sorry, Red Tent. Maybe there is a consumers directed personal care attendant services in your area so that you are free to do the hiring and firing? No one should be subjected to abuse. Your state probably has Adult Protective Services, which should be contacted. No way should your vehicle have been deeded to abusive people. Elderly people have legal services available to them for elder abuse. And your church needs to step in as much as possible. Let them know your needs. I will be praying!

Lord Jesus, I ask that you help Red tent in her time of need. She is in need of a caretaker that can get her Groceries, Meds
or anything else that may bring comfort in her life. I ask that the caretarker of your choosing bring companionship into her life. For she would love to have someone to speak of the Gospel with.

I ask this in your name Jesus. AMEN!

I think you hit the nail on the head!! It is being able to speak the gospel freely with all who are in your house! The rest would come with that. And please know I have read your posts and know of your needs. The Lord and I speak together about them often.

Dear RedTent, I'm new here but am not good at posting Intros, but felt led to tell you that I saw this post yesterday when you posted it and have been very touched by what you've shared here. Pretty remarkable, the circumstances that you are posting under. I check the prayer requests whenever I come to CC and don't post to them but just pray in agreement with the others. I care for my 96 y.o. Dad and have health issues as well, so I mainly just read posts.
I think that it's very important to pray for one another and the Prayer section of this forum has been rather impressive -- the caring that's shown. I imagine that I'm not the only one that prays over these requests but doesn't post, but I've been very moved by those that post to this Prayer Request section. Both the requests and the intercessors that post to them are very sensitive, caring people.

All of what you've shared has been very impressive to me because by all of the posts that I've read from you - I would have never imagined that you were up against so much. The posts that I have seen of yours are so full of care and sound counsel -- who would think that you have so many things going on with your health, eyes, etc?

Reminds me of the widow that gave her last bit of change and I've always wondered what happened to her after Jesus saw her give like that and talked to His disciples about her afterwards. I'm sure we'll ask when we see Him, and her. :)

God truly Bless you with Himself and meet your needs, Sister. You'll remain in my prayers.

I am asking in prayer for your daughter to come alongside of you and that the Lord give her an understanding heart to see your needs. That any rift in your relationship be restored so that you have the support you need from your family.

You are loved by your heavenly Father who will never leave your side. Ever!

Love,
Joi
