Hey everyone, once again I am humbly asking for your prayers. The arthritis and degenerative disk disease in my back is now developing into sciatica, mainly going on my left side down from my butt into my left knee. It's also on the right side, but not as bad. If I am sitting, and lift my leg up keeping it bent, I'm fine, but if I extend my leg out and try to lift it, I get pains going down through from my butt, through my leg, and into behind my knee. It's very painful and makes it hard for me to do things like put on my pants and socks, get into and out of the shower, etc etc. And now, on top of everything else, sometimes my left leg gives out completely and I fall. Not only onto the floor, but into doors and walls also..I'm such a clutz..lol

I would truly appreciate any and all prayers. Thanks and God bless!! :) As usual, my pain has not touched my sense of humor. Laughter and my sense of humor are 2 things that the evil one cannot take away from me...

Wow that sounds like a real pain in the butt.:p
I will say a prayer that He help you get through the pain and get rid of it if possible. I am sorry to hear of your suffering, and can relate a little bit. I do like how you presented this request, with a little humor and good attitude. I pray you have a good day and God draw you closer regardless, or because of everything else.

Oh my! Lady, what is your Doc doing to help you? This is awful!

I certainly will pray for you intensely. I hate more than anything to see anyone in this much pain and danger of falling!!

This is no small thing - though you are taking it like a trooper and I'm proud of you for that much - but just because you can call yourself a clutz and smile about it, shouldn't let on to others that it's a small thing. It sure ain't, Sister!

I'd really appreciate hearing what your Orthopedic guy is doing to help you!

Please keep us updated, whenever you can.

Thank you and please go easy & be careful too. Stay conscious of those situations that could cause a fall.

ChristIsGod, my entire family has bad bones.. bad backs, hips, knees.. Part of it is hereditary, part genetic, part crummy luck..lol :) I have talked to my doctor about this and he took xrays of my back. The discs in my back are crunching down on each other and grinding, and some are bulging out and touching the nerves, hence the pain down through my bum into my legs. The doctor told me that within a few years, I'll probably be in a wheelchair.
I have started doing some easy physical exercises, but they're painful because I can only move my left leg so much. I slipped and fell on ice last March, and screwed up my back even more. I cannot stand for more than 5 minutes at a time, or I feel the sciatica going down my leg. My sister gave me a walker with a seat in it so I can sit if I have to. I'm also getting a cane for when I walk around outside. My cat likes to jump up on the seat of the walker when I use it at home..lol :) She rides around with me and thinks it's a joyride. :) When my back gives out entirely, it just drops me right to my knees, then I have to crawl to the bed or somewhere where I can hold onto and pull myself back up. I use ThermaCare heat wraps and omgosh I love them! They are a lifesaver. I can't put cold onto my back, for some reason it seems to make the pain worse, but heat works wonderfully.

I am determined not to be in a wheelchair!! Even though it hurts me, I force myself to get up and out and walk. This ladybug is too young to need a wheelchair yet!
 Thanks so much for your response and prayers. God bless you, CIG. :)

Thank you for replying, Lady Blue!!

When you say your "doctor" - do you mean an Orthopedic Specialist?

No, he's my family doctor (general medicine) but he has offered to refer me to an orthopedist/ physical therapist. He also recommended a chiropractor, but it scares me to let one go poking around my back doing whatever.. :)

Blue, Its always so sad to hear how awful the pain and the bone issues are for you. I can only give support to you by prayer and encouragement but I wish I had the gift of healing so I could simply ask God to heal you and then maybe he would. But you are so strong to have such a horrible pain and yet have a cheery and upbeat attitude:)

Oh Sis - please consider a good Orthopedic guy!
They are coming up with new amazing ways to help.
My step-sister and then her husband both had unbearable pain and sciatic nerve compression and both had fusion surgery and are back to bowling and having a normal life. All things are possible ... !
My Dad was a physologist - that's something like a Doctor of physical therapy - prescribing what's needed - coordinating with the Ortho guys and you really need to see an Ortho guy before you have physical therapy --- and not a chiropractor for something this 'heavy duty'.

You Are Too 'Young' to get anything but the Best in Care!
My Step-Sis & her Hub were much older than you when they had their fusion/Ops - over 20 yrs older.

GOD BLESS YOU, LADY!!!

Blain, you DO have the gift of healing. It may not be physical, but it's spiritual. It always makes me happy to read your posts on here. You are an inspiration to me. :)

May I ask you a favor blue bug? I have a friend hospitalized, he's been sick for more than 10 months and I was asked to go to visit him there (a thing I'm reluctant, because i seldom go to those places and I met him a month ago).

Will you pray for him too?
His name is Cesar Arreaza and his son has recently asked for his father's real state (and he is not yet dead to leave things for his heirs).

Today it feels like the middle of summer. It is (checking thermometer) just about 65 degrees or so outside.. :) We will get a good nor'easter before too much longer. In fact, it snowed a few days ago for the first time.

Too icy for my taste!

I normally set a bucket full of water under the sun and, when i get home, I have it warm to get my shower... The nearer river I have in town is a couple of ours walking inside a wood, but I hate coming back home sweating... so I love to take my shower before sleeping.

Father, keep Ms. Ladybug in good health spiritually, and ease her physical pain, I know your eyes are on her. May her trials in life be triumphed in your mighty name. We love You and need You Jesus, amen
