I ask with urgency that this Christian Chat community pray for the Christian communities of Iraq who are in the most horrendous situation one can think of. I know this post will sicken lots of Christians even more-so especially sensitive Christians. However, the bible recounts a dialogue of suffering throughout its history.
"To be His voice and hands at this time"
ISIS, the worse extremist terrorist group that we know of in modern history, are taking children out of their homes and beheading them if they will not renounce (i.e. reject) Jesus. This is being done right in front of their parents. They're not beheading their parents they're instead psychologically getting through to their parents by murdering their young children. The source informs that all children thus far have not renounced Jesus even though their situation is just so tragic and desperate. It is not known how many children are affected except the number is likely to be many.
The information comes from a missionary who is staying with Christian Iraqi families even at the expense of his own life. He told his sister, a Christian who lives in England, that the United Nations and other peace keepers have pulled out owing to the fear of being murdered. It seems that other missionaries are there too and they will not leave the Christian children alone. The missionary who recounts his horrendous experiences is believed to be 50 years of age; he believes the Lord has told him to stay "to be His voice and hands at this time" at this very dark time.
The British media, and other media sources, as far as i was aware, were saying ISIS are beheading any person indiscriminately, i.e. they are not specifically targeting any individuals by their faith i.e. being Muslim or Christian was not important. However, this is clearly not true as the children's beheadings relate to Christian children, of whose ages are not known.
Another Christian source says Crisis Relief International (CRI) have stated that several cities in Iraq have fell to ISIS, including Queragosh.
Please, please, please pray for these Children of light amongst the dark forces, which Paul says are 'spiritual principalities.'
