hey everyone, I just received a call from my sister a few minutes ago. Apparently my dad, who is 83, went outside to shovel their driveway and when he went back to the house, was having trouble breathing so my mom called 911. I don't know much else beyond that, except that he does have a heart problem. He had a heart attack when he was in his 40's.. I would appreciate any and all prayers!! Thanks from lady blue.. :)

Father God I come to thankyou for my blue ladybugs father......for keeping him strong and giving
him comfort......for his quick recovery and the joy You send his family......I thank you in Jesus' name.....

I just received an update from my brother..my dad has some pulmonary edema...he will have to stay definitely overnight in hospital and may get moved to a hospital better equipped to do what has to be done..he may need heart stents..

Update: as of this minute, they are transporting my dad to Fletcher Allen hospital in Burlington. FA is better equipped to help him than CVH is..

I agree with all these prayers, and pray that the doctors will be guided by your wisdom to give the perfect treatment for this man. I pray for his wife that she be comforted and strengthened for those long waits in the hospital for things to be done. Keep her healthy.

I'm so sorry BlueLady that this has happened to your dear Dad. Oh, how I wish that people would consider their health first before shoveling snow... but by the same token -- it revealed that he had this CHF at a time when he could get Help.
Some don't and have heart attacks in their sleep. LORD have mercy!
They are very good at dealing with this now - and if your Dad will just be more careful after they get this under control - it should not lower his life span at all. They'll have to determine the percentage of heart function afterwards - but I'm believing God with you and the others, that your Dad will come out well and follow the Dr's orders on what he can and should do at his age, etc..

God be praised that The Lord allowed this when help was at hand and has His Hand on your dear Dad!!

Update: my mom just called, and my dad is (hopefully) going to have surgery on Monday.. It depends on how damaged his heart muscle is, whether they can put stents in or not.. Thanks so much for all your prayers. My family and I appreciate it. :)
