I ask prayers because three Christian friends of mine like to parent me. I am 27 years old and yes they are old enough to be my parents (I get along better with people older then me) they are not my parents. I admit I have let them do this for a while now but its really irritating. They mean well they honestly do but I don't need them to parent me I have parents and I have a Father in Heaven. I dunno how to tell them to stop parenting me without hurting their feelings cause they are good friends and I wanna continue being their friend but I just don't want them parenting me. So please pray that they stop parenting me and just be friends.

Oh miss Jenny.....have you told your friends this...some of us old people.....we have been
parents so long we are sometimes unaware that we do this....and it is a hard habit to break....
They are doing this out of love.....its not meant to offend you......I myself have recently become
aware ...I mother everyone....the big clue for me should have been the fact that everyone at work
calls me mama jo........and I thought everyone liked it....some do.....and some take offense....
But these are your friends....and I think if you sit them down....and tell them this.....they will
understand.......but if you want to be treated like a grown up....you must speak up.....
im praying for you my sister........oh no.....this sounds like im mothering again.......
cant shut it off sometimes it goes to auto play.......heheh...peace....jo

Jenny, perhaps you can write a letter to them. When you are finished writing, read it over with the Lord Jesus and ask Him if it is written just like He would want it to be written or if there should be changes made. When you feel confident in your spirit that it is a letter that would offer truth with mercy, and would be effective, you might give the letter to them.
Father God, please help these friends be understanding and to respect Sister Jenny's wishes in not being overbearing to her. Let them trust in Your Holy Spirit's work in her life and not try to control her. We pray they would be compassionate and kind in allowing Jenny to grow in grace as Your child, not their child. Bless them and help them to trust You, Lord. In Jesus' name we pray.
