Hey everyone. In October, I filed for full custody of my 2 year old son. The courts finally got around to sending the paperwork out, and my son's father was served with papers today. This evening, I received a nasty phone call not from my ex but from his dad, now my ex is 23 years old mind you, but he insisted his dad call me. I was yelled at for my decision to file for custody and informed that they will have a lawyer. I don't have money for a lawyer.

The reason I filed for custody in the first place is because of my ex's continuous battle with drugs and alcohol, and his unwillingness to seek help, which ultimately puts my son in danger.

I also requested a paternity test, because my son is now two and we still have not had one done. That sent them through the roof and left me having to get ridiculed for my decision. I wish I could just say I cheated and that's why I need a DNA test, but I did not cheat. I was raped the week I got pregnant with my son, but even knowing that I am still considered the bad guy for wanting to know 100% who my son's dad is.

Just please pray that no matter what the outcome that God's will be done, and that I will stay strong during this process.

Im praying for you. I know all about nasty phone calls from the ex and they can say some hurtful things. I am so sorry. Just try to keep focused on getting God's peace then it doesn't have the power to hurt you.

hey guys. update . . . ex,s mom came by and yelled at me. i went to take my son for a car ride to get away from the tension. my grampa pushed me against a wall and hit my son in the head. talked to cops they didnt believe me. my son is doing well no serious injuries but im in the e.r. with severe back pain. please pray for healing and some way to get out of this enviorment.

Thanks. I just got home from the emergency room. Refused to give me an xray told me it was just muscle spasms, while there they gave me 3 advils, 2 percocets, and a valium .....none of which even touched the pain. But still wouldn't do an xray even tho I have insurance. Anyways, I am home and on meds for pain even though they don't work, and tomorrow will be trying to find a place to move to. Thanks for the prayers guys!
