I know anxiety is something Christians should confess to the Lord. I have and continue, but would greatly appreciate prayers from my Brothers and Sisters in Christ. Thank you

I sometimes experience this. I'm not sure if it's anxiety though. The only way that I can describe it is that God is trying to speak to me... it's usually something or someone that I need to pray for. When this happens I try to find a quiet place and talk to Him. Last January I had this for several weeks. I just felt as if there was some kind of great darkness coming. That would be the best way that I can describe it.

I know God is faithful to cleanse me of my sin, but I sometimes feel like I haven't been cleansed and then I think that thinking THAT is sin and it reverberates from there to anxiety. I pray the Lord would increase my faith, and I would be free of that thought process once and for all.

Father GOD,

I pray for PennEd, that he will be reminded that Your blood flows freely to deliver us from our sins continually. That as each sin is committed, we are instantly forgiven, that in the Garden of Gethsemane You looked into that cup and saw each and every one of our sins, from here to eternity. We thank You that You alone have seen the full extent of our wretched sin and yet You chose to take all that upon Yourself and exchanged Your righteousness for our sin on that cross.

I thank You that because of Your gift of life on the cross, we are made sinless before God and He will no longer see our sin through the veil of Your blood. LORD, teach him to lean on Your Word and Your Word alone, that he may see in the passages that You came not to condemn us to the law- the ministry of death, but to give us life more abundant.

Teach us not to take glory away from You by trying to justify ourselves in our daily walk, but to realise that our righteousness comes only from Your Perfect Finished Work.

I pray this in Jesus name,

Amen

No thanks needed. We are all sinners saved by the Grace of GOD. Not one of us are deserving. Let all praise and thanksgiving be to Jesus, who has done all the Work.

Father,
I lift PennEd to You today, give him the assurance that can only come from You that our sins that You will remember no more. Free him from the spirit of condemnation so that he will have the grace to go out and sin no more. For where sin abounds, Your grace super-abounds!

Hold his heart in Your hands, LORD, remind him that Yours is not the blood of bulls and goats but the blood of the precious Lamb of GOD that saves and cleanses forever. Teach him not to look at himself, but to look to the cross and look at what You have done.

Teach him that only by looking at Your beauty and Your grace can he walk on the water above the storm. Take the doubt from his mind and convict him of Your Perfect Love.

In Jesus name,

Amen

May the Lord purge you of all anxiety :) and make your way prosperous:)

These two passages help me a lot with my anxiety:

Matthew 6:34
[SUP]34 [/SUP]Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

1 Peter 5:6-7
[SUP]6 [/SUP]Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: [SUP]7 [/SUP]casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

Thank you for your prayers. I truly believe they will make a difference. The anxiety has ebbed and flowed the past 24 hrs. I really want to avoid any anxiety medicine, and I know the Lord is the true antedote.

Father,

today I lift again to You, Your child- PennEd in prayer. I pray that You will completely remove the anxiety in his heart, that You will take away every lying symptom in his body. Teach him to lean into Your Word and claim his wholeness through the cross and what Jesus has done.

Strengthen his faith with GOD-filled words and people around him, that he may know he is not alone in this fight.

In Jesus name,
Amen

Dear Loving GOD,

I pray for PennEd that You will lift the anxiety from him. LORD, grant him the wisdom to discover the root cause of this negative emotion. Father, remove this root from his life and instil in him courage and strength to face this issue. LORD, give this brother peace in his heart and wash him with the water of Your scripture. May he find revelation and comfort in Your words that he will no longer experience this in his life.

Father, grant him clarity in this time and remind him that You alone can do all things, and that his problems are as small to You as an ant would be to him. Teach him Your Awesome greatness and let him realise that nothing is too difficult for You.

In Jesus name,
Amen

Used to have really bad panic attacks... Hang on there, it gets better...
Wash your mind daily with the Scriptures teaching that we are safe with God... my two favorites...

Psalms 23:4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Isaiah 8:13 Sanctify the LORD of hosts himself; and let him be your fear, and let him be your dread.

Asking Jesus to loose the Spirit of peace all over you, every day.

Hi PennEd:

I've been a Christian for over 13 years and have been dealing with anxiety for about 8 years. I was in a terrible cycle trying to deal with anxiety, worry, panic and fear within the church-- a church that wasn't equipped to deal with these things. They just prayed for me, laid hands on me… I would use Scripture like a mantra… I begged God to "set me free" and always felt He let me down. All of this leads to a DEAD END! Trust me. I've now been given amazing tools to deal with anxiety by someone who's come from being strapped down in a mental hospital and given about 10 shock treatments. She's a Christian woman and has the most amazing testimony of how she's overcome anxiety, panic and depression. I signed up for her course at Calvary Chapel in Ft. Lauderdale, FL; it was called "Unmasking Anxiety" and her name is Honor Weber. It was an 8-week course and changed my life! She's unfortunately just relocated BUT you can contact the church bookstore to purchase the course. I do NOT work for them and am only writing this to help others get help like I did-- because material like this is VERY hard to find! I went YEARS thinking God failed me, reciting Biblical verses, fasting, praying, feeling "crazy" and losing my mind… felt that no one understood me. Everyone told me to "trust God" or told me to see a Psychiatrist. I even saw a "Christian Psychiatrist" who only suggested I sit in a chair and stare at some lights moving side to side. This made me feel even more hopeless and didn't make sense to me and I never did it. Honor primarily teaches how our mental health is a direct result of the thoughts we have trained our brains to think. She goes in depth about how the brain works… about how thoughts scientifically enter into our brains and pass from one neuron to another and how they then excrete chemicals and adrenaline which then produces our anxious feelings and panic attacks. She shares Biblical verses about God's design for our minds and thought life. She makes it very clear how we "train our brains" to thinking anxiously, depressed, etc and how it forms "patterns" which need to be interrupted and broken. Anxiety is NOT a mental illness, it's not a sickness… it's a disorder that we ourselves CAUSE. Our brains have something like "muscle memory" and are trained to react to those "trigger" situations the same way each time. She teaches how to slow our minds down, to breathe correctly in order to calm all nerves and panic attacks, how to excrete chemicals like serotonin and dopamine, which are neurotransmitters that are responsible for our moods. When I heard these things, it made PERFECT sense to me! We are responsible for our thought patterns and she helps you identify them. What's easier is that she's a very Type-A person with a hilarious personality. She makes you actually laugh at yourself.. PLEASE trust me and buy her course! I took her course but then purchased the MP3 CD and uploaded it all to my iPhone so I can listen anywhere at any time. God bless.

Thanks to all for your prayers. I've felt pretty good the last 2-3 months in no small part because of your prayers and thoughtful comments. The last week I've had an increase of negative thoughts and anxiety. I'd appreciate your continued support. Thanks again.

Make sure it isn't a side effect of medicine. I had to go to the ER once because of panic attack and turned out it was a side effect of my medication. The did give me I think it was called Attrax or something that helped a lot.

Most importantly is that you should cast to the feet of Jesus as well as any other burden.
