Hi Everyone:

I was really close with my grandpa and enjoyed every minute I had with him. When I cleaned his house the last time he sat me down and told me that one day when God was ready to reveal his future that he has for me I would be an excellent wife and mother. That was the last compliment I received my grandpa. About three days later he fell and rushed him to hospital where he laid in hospice, while his lungs filled up with fluid. He passed away, on March 15 while I was holding his hand. He is with our heavenly father and I am looking forward to seeing him one day. I would appreciate some prayer as we see my grandma who is in an assisted living facility and we are planning to go by his graveside later this week. This week is going to be hard and challenging especially with what I just listed and I have my college finals in the next two days. I honestly don't know how I am going to concentrate on everything.

Sounds God had him tell you this and left him on the Earth long enough to do this, was to comfort you, not that you're distressed more Sis. So you know he is with God now and that He wants you to be comforted. It's not a good bye but just a temporary parting. Life passes faster than we think. I turn around and it's already March. As Molly said, he is dwelling in peace and joy now.
Praying for your comfort in this hard moment in your life and that you will do good on your exams as if your grandpa was here because he would be proud of you.

Thank You for all the prayers and support during this time. I had a very productive day and in a way it was peaceful. All your prayers are special and it felt like I was surrounded by so much peace that I was able to complete a lot of tasks and do really well on them. I still have a couple finals to go, but I have a good feeling about them. Just continue praying that God's peace will surround me while I finish.

Praying for you. I had a similar situation happen within the last couple years. My grandfather passed away around finals that year too. Hang in there. If you need someone to talk to and vent to, my inbox on here is always open. College classes and finals with that sort of pain can be difficult, but you will get through it and do fine in those classes.

I am so sorry that you had that happen to. It is really hard. He actually passed away about a couple of weeks before I started college. I can't even believe that it has been a year since, it seems like it was yesterday. The only thing I know is that I would not have came through it if it wasn't for God, my friends, and family. I know that he was always proud of me and he would always tell me so. It just feels so weird and guilty that I am moving forward and have made so many changes, for the better and had so many good things happen to me at least in the last six months. I have gained friendships, been more outgoing, did well in college, and even got a scholarship. Thank you for leaving opening the door for communication, I can't say how much I do appreciate it.

Praying for you sister. I lost my grandfather, who was like my father, when I was 18, so I can definitely relate.

Hold onto promises in the Bible, I want to leave you with one now, which has been one that has helped me: "Many are the sorrows of the wicked, but he who trusts in the Lord, lovingkindness will surround him (or her)" -Ps 32/10

Don't feel guilty. Dwelling on him will not help. He would want you to keep bettering yourself and not staying in sadness from losing him. Good job with college and congratulations on the scholarship.

He's been promoted into the Lord's presence. I only have one grandparent left and they are 98 years old and soon to be promoted too.

You have to learn to look at physical death for what it is, the finality of this life and the beginning of a new one. If everyone's salvation is secured, then you have an eternity to look forward to in a far far better place than this one. Peace.

I have suffered many a great loss......what I realized is that we will see them in eternity.....that its not over......because it barely has begun.....then when Jesus' comes to gather us up....we will all be together......forever....that they are at peace.....and if we do our best to make them proud.....they are gonna let us know when we see them again.....so stand tall young sister...we have a lot to do to finish for them....imagine the stories we will have to tell.....be strong and let God give you comfort.....time
does heal......I know that's sounds cliche ....but it is so......keep your focus on God.....let your tears flow....then pick yourself up and let God know your ready to start anew......may you do your best
with your studies......thank God for your success in school.....He will help you.....be strong ......
and may peace and joy find you soon......jo
