Fires on the mountain

In the area in which I am living runaway fires are busy raging and causing havoc.
About 2900 hectares of vegetation have been destroyed as of Wednesday morning South African time. Farms have been threatened and people have been evacuated. The firefighters both from the local fire department as well as many volunteers are in the front line trying their best to get the fire under control. Last week 5000 hectares of vegetation was destroyed by fires in other part of the province. 13 houses were destroyed.

Please pray for the fires to be extinguished and pray that the damage done will not increase too much. Also pray for the firefighter who are working none stop and doing the best they can.

Agreeing with you on this petition, in Jesus name. And it would be also wonderful if God would choose to send rain.

Lord please bring these fires under control. Keep anyone in their path safe. watch over the firefighters as they do their best to put out these fires. In Jesus' name, amen.

Update:
The good news is that the fire has been largely contained, though there have been some flare ups. We would still really welcome rain. Thank you all, all your prayers are appreciated

Dear Father

We pray for rain in our brothers area to help put these fires out. We pray that people, houses and firemen will be safe and that You would send extra angels to protect and help in this situation. Help them we pray in Jesus Name Amen.
