Please pray for me, earlier this evening I admitted to myself that I have a serious addiction. That sounds weird to me, but that is where I am right now, alone with this revelation. I need prayers and support for my next step to take. I have been blessed with three wonderful boys and I want to start living my life the way God has intended. I thank you for your prayers, may God bless each of you.

i completely understand where you are at. i spent 2 months in coma from alcohol poisoning. members of my bible study mens group came every night for prayer vigil.

the die-sease is progressive and fatal. satan will only tempt you with your temptations.

if you can get through the first year. at least 6 months. your life will change. stop the addiction and the collateral damage that surely comes with it, will in time solve itself. the family issues, the legal issues, the financial issues, the spiritual issues.

just stay strong in faith.

you will be tempted by satan. he is a busy guy. more powerful than mortals. when your health and mind is better. don't do what you did. the relapse starts well before the act.

faith, hope, and love

I am so sorry what you are going through. I understand addiction. I don't know what yours is but i was addicted to drugs since i was 15 years old. Im 30 now and clean but it has not been easy. You actually are the first person im admitting this to. I believe its God that is keeping me strong. Im understanding more and more that God does know what is truely in your heart and he knows you truely don't want to be addicted. I will pray for you.

Admitting your failures and weaknesses is the first step to deliverance. I pray that the Lord will strengthen you and lift your spirit to begin healing from this addiction of yours. Jesus is the only way to get completely free from this problem; by His stripes we are healed!

Thank you for your prayers, glen. It is amazing how the Lord works in our lives. I have a long ways to go, but I will take it one day at a time and stay in God's word. I already feel as though He has lifted the weight off my shoulders and giving me guidance. Thanks again for your prayers, we can never have enough!

I am so glad you shared that with me Monica. Just knowing we are not alone gives us hope! I never understood addictions to drugs and alcohol until I admitted to myself just last night that I am addicted to food. As you could see in my post, even when admitting the addiction I was too embarressed and ashamed to admit what my addiction is. It sounds so ridiculous to me, but this last week was the turning point. I am still nervous about admitting it, but I know the only way to truly get over this addiction is to vocalize it and confront it! I guess every addiction is the same, just a different poison. Thank you for your prayers, and I will continue to pray for you and your depression and anxiety. God bless!

What an amazing story, I am so glad that you came out of your coma, and are on the road to recovery. God is good! I also had alcohol poisoning when I was about 19, and almost died. I got control over my drinking, but moved on to another poison. Thank you for your help and prayers.

Addictions aren’t easy, but at least you know what’s wrong.

Butterflymom3, I can empathize with you, when it comes to being addicted to something and finally realizing that that's what it is; I had (4). The key word is Had, all glory to The Most High, God Almighty. I told the Lord that I didn't want it anymore and He took all of them away. He can and he will do it for you, if that's what you desire. Scripture says, He will supply your every need, according to his riches in Glory, by Christ Jesus. Phil.4:19
I pray for you...
Dear heavenly Father, be in the midst of this woman's circumstance. Father, hear the petitions that go forth on her behalf. Lord, Deliverer, deliver her from the addictions and any other things that keep her bound. Lord give her the strength and the will to press forward. Lord, give her direction. Show her how You want her to live, Lord. In the Mighty name of Jesus.
May the Lord bless and keep you, my dear.

Precious Butterfly,

As with all addictions, there is a root cause...............The particular root, which is called a "spiritual root of disease", is THE NEED TO BE LOVED..........

There is an enormous amount of information on the subject of roots, but this particular area has to do with not having been loved the way we are designed to be.

I was addicted to cocaine, pot, pills, alcohol, and pornography, just to name a few.................The LORD showed me through various ministries the UNDERLYING REASONS FOR THE ADDICTIONS...........The roots. When I look back at my childhood, it was a nightmare. My Mother and Father were both alcoholic, both abusive. (usually to themselves) My father was a violent alcoholic, mostly to my Mother, but also to us.

I hated him deeply for 20 years, I wanted him dead, and if I wasn't so scared of him I probably would have done it myself. Thankfully The LORD stepped in, I got saved, and then HE began to show me all of the underlying roots, that were behind addiction. 27 years later I am clean, sober and not only walking in HIS Spirit, but joyously helping others with all sorts of sickness and disease, addictions, manic depression, you name it.............

Be encouraged, GOD hears your cry....................I posted a teaching about SPIRITUAL ROOTS OF DISEASE JUST TODAY. It is only part 1..........There will be many more parts as the days and weeks go on, but I want to encourage you to go to a specific web location...........

The name of the Ministry is called Be In Health Ministries..................They are located in Thomaston, Georgia. Their lead book is called :

A More Excellent Way- by Pastor Henry W. Wright. Pastor Wright was a 3rd year med student, and GOD called him to quit school and become a Pastor, then the LORD began to teach him all about SPIRITUAL ROOTS OF DISEASE.....................That was 26 years ago, and now he teaches at Universities all over the World about disease and how to get rid of it Scripturally.............Please check it out........

I am praying for you .............

PRECIOUS BUTTERFLY,

Wow, I like the sound of that don't you? Anyway, I just want you to know that there are volumes of teachings available, if you know where to look, I will be doing others on here as the LORD leads me to post them.

One in particular, is called YOUR BIRTHRIGHTS AS A CHILD OF GOD............It will be an intense eye-opener to many I'm sure............So as you are flying from flower to flower keep that title in mind, or, if you want I can send you a personal notice when I am about to post this.

Let me know, and in the meantime, just PRACTICE THE PRESENCE OF GOD...............DAILY, which simply means KEEP YOUR MIND ON HIM AS MUCH AS YOU CAN.................ISAIAH 26:3 The LORD talking here: I WILL KEEP YOU (butterfly) IN PERFECT PEACE IF YOU WILL KEEP YOUR MIND ON ME....................(okay, this is a SLIGHT variation or add libb here, but it is personalizing the Word for your life)

Rest in HIM Precious........................Be still and KNOW that HE is GOD..................Psalms 46:10
