Rest in Jesus! Death is not the answer as much as it may seem to be. I know how you feel, life stinks, but we are here for more than us. People need you, God needs you to be there for those people only you can talk to.

1. you are not worthless
2. you are worth more than you think you are
3. you mean a lot to someone
4. you've done something to make someone laugh or smile
5. you've laughed and smiled
6. you are good enough
7. you deserve to be happy
8. you're allowed to be sad
9. you're you and nothing can change that

Don't let "death" fool you. The best is yet to come for you! Hold on to God and you'll put through.. might not be smooth ride but he will deliver! Trust in Him alone.

Life here on earth is tough but you know this isn't our home, God placed us here for a purpose of which we may not know until we are older and grow spiritually. Now is not the time to give up, God will call us home when it is our time. Be strong and know you are greatly loved by the king and also by your brothers and sisters here. God bless you sis.

That is a problem. Don't want to be here, but you can't leave. I hear ya, I wrestle with that every day. Hardly a day goes by that I don't pray, Lord, today someone will die who doesn't want to, please take me instead. And I mean it, even the best day in this hell-hole is absolutely nada compared to the worst day in what we have to come. When I think that in the next twinkling of my eye I could be partying before the Throne of God... here, mugger mugger mugger! Puhleaze!
I was 17 when I tried to make the leap by my own hand, obviously it failed and I'm still here. And I've gone on to be used by God to affect many people's lives for the better, and to do that is a blessing. Yet hardly a day goes by when I don't wish in some way that it had worked. Would'a saved me 40 years of livin' in satan's cesspool. But I promised God I wouldn't try it again.
Jesus says we will suffer this world. We are in it not of it. To Christ's enemies (ie satan and his horde) we are like a drop of water in a bottle of oil. The oil can't outright destroy it, but it'll do everything it can to isolate and expel the drop. Paul suffered, and wished to move on (for to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain Phil 1:21+), but thought it necessary to remain in the body. He also said in 1 Thess 3:8 for now we live, if you are standing fast in the Lord. So while we who are saved will not go to 'hell' for committing suicide, we are instructed not to, and we will account for it if we do.
You don't have to like it here. In fact, if you do, that's when I would worry. I've often said that you can tell how much potential one has in the kingdom of God by how hard satan works to hold them under. That is why he has stolen your dignity and potential. To make you as irrelevant to the world as you can possibly be. Be angry, but at that. Don't hate ignorant humanity, hate the one(s) who have made humanity ignorant. And be available to the one in a million humans who recognize their ignorance and want to change that. You can do that while hiding from the fray, it's one of the things that brought me here to CC . There are plenty of people here who need prayer warriors interceding for them. Be used by God for that, and you will start to see that there is worth in your swimming the cesspool.

gerlie, There are some powerful words of encouragement that has been sent to you in response to your post. I just want to stand in agreement with all the prayers for you as well. I want to add some of my thoughts & prayers for you. I promise you, as I know from my own life experiences that Jesus can bring "LIFE" to you mind, body & soul. Jesus is the "Author and Giver of Life" and in Him there is NO DARKNESS! I have been through some very dark days of depression in the past years. I had a series of "Life Storms" that just were nearly overwhelming at times. For me, I desperately wanted to hang on to "Hope", it was like a "life jacket" to me, in rough sea's. I felt like I was drowning, but all I can say is HOPE is what held me up & brought me to Jesus arms every time. When we loose our hope, then we become heart sick & a feeling of hopelessness, then despair set in. We feel despair, its like a downward spiral that will bring us down & down to a lot of darkness. That's a terrible place to be! MY friend there is "HOPE" for you!!!! Proverbs 13: verse 12:Hope deferred maketh the heart sick: but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life. John 7: 38"He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, 'From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.'" Trust in Him! Abide in Him!!! Jesus is the Life Giver! He will take away the emptiness, but we need to abide in Him daily, in the Word & Jesus will begin to renew your mind & fill you with His life & peace!

Elijah was anointed, who out ran a chariot of horses, and got depressed, and asked God to take him, he said, he was going to die, anyway, so why not just take him. The Lord had other plans for him. He sent him back to the evil Jezebel who was trying to take his life, and he prophesied that he death would be very dishonoring for a queen. God did not take his life, but took him alive to heaven. When were honest with him talk to him, he wants us to talk to him. He is mighty unto pulling down of this stronghold. We Thank you heavenly Father, and agree, that this heaviness of the world, will break off from her, and the presence of your glory, and love will be her Joy, for the Joy of the Lord is our strength. Don't let the evil one Jesus talks about in John 17:15 take away what he has given to us. His love, and his Peace, and life. Psalm 91 Call upon him. He is able to deliver.

Question is not how you are feeling but what is life?
The pain of depression is about history and loss. You cannot leave this behind because it would be denying the very life the pain comes from.
The answer is to find out what the broken pot was that could not be remade and ended up so lost and empty.
I am truly alone before the Lord, but here i am truly known and understood so not alone at all.
Yes lost people find it impossible to reach out, because the pain within says they cannot be understood or supported.
But that is the lie of pain and sin and confusion. Jesus showed to lie by dying on the cross.

Dear, Gerlie just smile the Devil wants you to think you are on the last mile of the way but remember the lord is your guide, he is so wonderful and theres no limit on what God can do you are a soldier in the army of the Lord keep on fighting keep presssing on keep praying God loves you regardless of the way you feel dont give up just press on thru this old world Satan wants you to take your life so he can gain your soul, death is not the end but only the beginning either with God or with Satan, dont give up because youll break Gods commandment and die in sin, just pray,pray,pray, and god will make a way out of no way, and remember smile and laugh that makes the Devil mad.
