He's been on my heart and I've been praying for Steph Curry of the Golden State Warriors. For those that don't know, he plays in the National Basketball Association (NBA) and is actually one of the top 5 best players in the league. He just won the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award this season along with many other accolades, but the MVP award is by far the most honorable. He also won the NBA 3-point contest this year, has shattered many individual feats like making the most 3-pointers in an NBA post-season, his team the Warriors are the best team in the league and had the best regular season record... and the accolades go on and on. This truly is a phenomenon and I believe more than that, its God's grace upon him and anything he touches. The word says "God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble" (James 4:6) and "humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honor." (1 Peter 5:6) I believe Steph has done this, all of his teammates and coaches and anyone that knows him speaks very well of him, and now God is honoring him. He has been given a national and international stage and he is thanking our Lord and Savior every step of the way. I'll post his MVP acceptance speech below where he gave God the glory and identified Jesus, his Lord and Savior!

This is why we need to pray for him. Of course the enemy and evil do not like anyone having that type of influence and that platform to give thanks to God and Jesus Christ. Particularly pray tonight for him. They are in possibly the last game of a playoff series and they have beaten the opposing team, the Houston Rockets, really bad. The Warriors are winning a best out of 7 game series 3-0. If they win then the series is over and then the Warriors go on to the Finals. The Warriors beat the Rockets really bad on Saturday night and it was led by Steph who had 40 points (for those who don't follow basketball, that's amazing.) So they've been demoralized and now want revenge, and some of their players have already expressed that they're angry and they're not going down without a fight. So pray for Steph that no harm would come his way and that God would protect him as they play tonight. Also pray for all of the players that they remain professional and that they don't let the moment get to their head and they would keep in mind that at the end of the day, basketball is just a game. I do believe we are witnessing a great move of God in the life of Stephen Curry and he is elevating him because he truly is a humble person.

Thanks brothers and sisters,

Yes I saw and I cringed.. and I was so glad to see him up and running around afterward. Lets keep praying for him. I don't speculate but I do check fruit :) and from what I know he's bearing fruit and truly loves the Lord. The platform he has is HUGE. May God be glorified in his life in these last days when Christians are compromising and giving up left and right. Be glorified God!
