I understand what that is like, I attempted suicide before and then there was a few weeks back when I was so sleep deprived I actually considered death as blessing as it would at least be some kind of rest and I wanted to do it believe me I have severe depression no idea why I have a good life but I also have suicidal thoughts a lot too now whether that has to do with the depression idk but even when such thoughts come I look to the Lord and go in my bed in the dark and I pour my heart out to him and it's like a cleansing the suicidal thoughts dissapear and it's like I can feel his arms wrapped around me and I can almost see him smileing down at me like I am the most sweetest child.

He and I have a very child like love and I always feel like a small tender child with him, his love is stronger than our pain and sadness and I am proof of that because if it were not so I would have offed myself long ago

Dalisa, I recently had suicidal thoughts too and I know it's a struggle to get them out. Here, my prayer for you...

Father God, I don't know what is going on with Dalisa and why these suicidal thoughts came upon her. Lord, she is your child and she ought not to be defeated into the hands of satan. I pray that whatever that is not from You that is around her, remove them, Lord. I pray that You will give her the wisdom on what actions she needs to take and how she could move forward in life without having such thoughts.

Hey Sis,

How are u feeling today?...I would like to gave u a short testimony of my daughter's bout of attempted suicide...She has a mild case of Cerebral Palsy and feels that God plays chess with the lives of people...she's couldn't understand why God has allowed her to be this way and hates that people stare at her wherever she goes....she is very talented in so many ways but is focused on her physical side rather than the spiritual side..she compares herself to others...she has been in a live in facility where she has had therapy for a little over a year...I stood by her side but refused to help her in self pity..she hated me..but I didn't care..I knew that she needed her mom. She also kept the wrong company..got into drugs and alcohol...suffered from a deep dark depression..but I told her, until you accept yourself, no amount of therapy is going to help you...expound on the gifts God has given you and stop looking to self and others for happiness...do something for others and in turn you will overcome the desire for self destructive pity to kill the very life that God died for for and gave Himself completely and unselfishly for it.

With much prayer and patience...she is on her own..productively working..and she counsels her friends when they are in a pickle....she still has her moments of depression when she is pitying herself..rather than reaching out to others who are in need...God tells us..the poor you will always have with you...poor in spirit and poor in other ways..its our duty to help others as Christ has called us to do..so we don't self destruct...When we are caring for others..we have not time to pity ourselves...we all go through bouts of depression..but its part of sin...but God in His mercy has made a productive way of escape in this situation....He tells us not to kill..is it just not to kill others..or are we also included?...From what I read of this scripture....God does not discriminate...Did Jesus suffer for us..you bet you boots He did..He had it way worse...did He promise an easy life for the Christian...nope..He surely did not.....God says, no temptation has befallen any person that has not befallen others. 1 Corinthians 10:13

Sister, ask God to show you how you can be of help to others..and forgive whoever has hurt you,...the kinds of food that we eat and what we allow ourselves to be entertained with..be it music...or what we watch with our eyes..and the company we keep can have a bearing on our psychology....Look to Jesus...did He start a good work in you and did He say, He is faithful to complete it? Man can not solve your problems....Thus saith the Lord, cursed is the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm and whose heart departeth from the Lord. Jeremiah 17:5 . Jesus says for you to cast ALL you cares upon Him, for He careth for you...Keep you eyes fixed on the Lord every time you want to give into Satan who has come to steal, kill and destroy as God has warned us...He says, woe unto you for the devil has come down to make war with you. Revelation 12:12..This is why He says, Finally be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Put on the whole armor of God so we can withstand the wiles of the devil...Ephesians 6:10-18. He says to take His yoke upon you and learn of Him..not learn of man. The wisdom of man is foolishness God says. Nope..not easy..but all is possible through Jesus Christ our Lord...Surround yourself with friends who are devoted to living for the Lord...and they will encourage and pray with and for you.....also find yourself a Christian counselor who will speak of God's love and saving grace. This too shall pass...Remember, He is the peace above the storm.

Hugs.

Dalisa... Trust in your Heavenly Father, because He Loves You with an Everlasting Love. His Love is un-ending & is always with You. Take a stand against the enemy today, & begin to walk in the newness of life that Jesus has for you. I will say, it is so important to talk with a crisis intervention person, who can help you sort through some of the emotional issues that you are dealing with, as this is a very important step in bringing you to a healthy state of mind. Jesus your Heavenly Father will walk with you every step of the way, & help you get to the "root" cause of what you are dealing with. John 10:The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.

I used to get pretty depressed when I was a young man. It helped to see a professional counselor. On three different occasions I sought help. I can also say that repenting of my sin eliminated frightening thoughts. Walking with the Lord - praying constantly - is helpful.
