I lost one of mybest friends last week. Just out of nowhere I got a call saying he was at the beach and drowned... he was just 27 years old. He's actually been a friend to my whole family (he's close to my husband and our 2 sons too) so it has rocked us all.

The funeral is over and now begin the “never again's”.
I wasn't ready to have Wednesday night dinner without him.
I wasn't ready to lead youth group without him.
I wasn't ready to lead worship without him on bass.
I wasn't ready to do lazy Sunday afternoons without him hanging with my guys and me.
I just wasn't ready to do life without him.

I am so thankful that even though we are grieving, we can grieve with hope because he knew and loved our Saviour Jesus Christ which means we will see him again. But, today, tomorrow and so on, I won't see him and so I would love your prayers. The grief is coming in waves and there are times when it hits and I feel like I can't breathe.
Thank you so much

It's ok to grieve, for as long as you need. You might want to journal these next days, to see the workings of the Holy Spirit in your life. And to document the pain and suffering.

Praying for you to find a "new normal" when you are ready, and when it is God's will.

Sorry for your lost. here is a poem:
Just Call On Me

I can’t comprehend just how sad you must feel
For the loss of someone you love.
This sorrowful time must still feel unreal
And you’re looking for strength from above.

I hope, from my heart, that your pain will decrease,
That your spirit will gain strength again,
And I pray that your faith will create inner peace
And that God will send blessings--Amen.

Till then, if you need me to lighten your load,
I’m waiting to come to your aid.
Just call on me, and I’ll walk down that road,
Until the dark times start to fade.

Deep condolences,

Thank you all so much for your prayers! It humbles me to know that people I've never met care enough to pray for me. Thank you!
