Med Change and a Lot Of Pain and Sadness

I'm bad. I saw my rheumatologist this morning and he agreed Xeljanz was not working. So I am off of it, and waiting for some samples of Orencia, a biologic. Weekly needles won't be too bad. Also a DMARD, Arava, which I probably going to affect my liver.


So instead of being happy I don't have to drag through the pain, I just have been weeping and weeping. People I know with RA who have tried Orencia, said it lasted a year of less. Arava is going to be a no, in a couple of weeks. These are the last possible drugs I can take. (He said maybe methotrexate, but I tried that route with my last RD. It was a no after the first shot.)


I am glad I am off the prednisone. I truly feel like myself again. But sad I can't use it as a backup. And so I am double dosing on Motrin to get through the next few days? Weeks?


If this drug fails, it will be long term care for me. I know what those places are like. I will lose everything. But then, being bed ridden means I will have lost everything anyway.


Please pray for me to make it through the next two weeks, till I get the Orencia and they start to work. And that the meds will work! My rheumatologist says I have the most severe RA he has ever encountered.

Lord Jesus cause your face to shine upon her and healing through her body, not by might nor power, but by your spirit. To your honor.

I am so sorry Angela. Dear Lord I pray for Angela, I ask that Angela would know your love, presence and Peace. Lord we ask that Angelia would get through the next couple of weeks until she can try Orencia and Lord we ask it would be effective for the pain and that it would provide a long term solution. Lord we also ask that the doctor might find another potential treatment or that a new treatment is developed. In the name of Jesus Amen

I've been an organic vegetarian for 45 years. I grow my own veggies. I tried Paleo for 6 months because it worked for a friend, but it didn't make a difference. I don't use sugar, drink, smoke or any other "bad" things.

I would love it if some of these home remedies worked for me. It could also be spontaneous remission your BIL went into. Or he didn't have it as severely as me, or maybe a different family of RA. That is why people respond differently to the drugs, because the RA is not the same.

Lord God please hear this prayer request of Angela53510, and bless her. we bind this pain and sadness, and cast away, yes Lord let these things leave her body, and she completely fine free from RA problems. Lord you are our father, we pray touch her and heal her. Father we want to see your glorify in Angela53510, please heal her, and wipe away the tears from her eyes, in the name of our saviour and Lord Jesus Christ, we ask Amen!

I've improved a lot today, although still limited in motion. Also, I am looking forward to the future, not dreading it!

God is so good. Thank you all for your prayers.
