I come here to ask for prayer. My family has been housing a cousin of mine.,He is young about 25 yrs old . He seems to have schizophrenia that would be guess . He has see a psychiatrist and psychologist who found him to be ok. When he goes to see doctors he acts normal. He was taken to the hospital & blood work was done to rule out drugs. No drugs were found. He has been out of it for 3 months. He can't sleep or eat. He is afraid there is something in the food. He talks non sense. He stands still for hours staring at nothing or closing his eyes. Sometimes he stays in odd positions. . He doesn't respond. He has to be supervised at all times. Recently we found him on the roof of the house. A second time he had a shirt wrapped around his neck and was drooling blood. Sometimes he seems possessed. We have seek medical help but like a said he seems to get it together and act ok. We have also tried taking him to church but he refuses to enter. When he has prayer has worked. It's very hard now to get him out the house to continue going. If someone has some insight on what this is .. I ask for prayer for him and protection over my family. I am currently pregnant and it's very stressful and sad feeling seeing someone like this.
Thank you brothers and sisters.

Ultimately no one here can give you more than ideas. No one here can speak factually on anything.

Gali... i had almost the same experience....my younger cousin was diagnosed as schizo in his early 20s, and his illness unfortunately led to some extreme permanent self mutilation during one of his worst episodes. it's really really tough to see someone you know still physically existing but completely different.
My cousin was a premed student before he got sick, but with his current medication he's been stable enough to work part time as a grocery bagger

My heart goes out to you, to your cousin, and to your family. It's definitely a struggle. If he pulls a stunt again like climbing on the roof or choking himself, i would consider an involuntary psychiatric hold to prevent him from hurting himself or someone else and hopefully get him the help he needs.

Praying!

As I read your post I felt like this is some kind of possession. Even if it does have an organic factor, those were placed in us by satan at the fall and give demons hand holds on our soul. But this sounds seriously spiritual in nature. Pray, those around you should fast and pray. Speak Jesus' Name over his name to bring him under Jesus covering. Names have to do with spiritual authority, you need to put his name under Jesus' authority. Then whatever the name of the demons are, they've got a pretty substantial roadblock to getting at him.

A lot of this will require confession and repentance to shed. Identifying particular sins of his past and getting him to confess them is very helpful. When we submit in sin to a spiritual authority, we are submitted to that spiritual authority until we rebuke it by confession and repentance. You can pray for him in this way too, but it works best when he does it.

This of course may be hard if he won't talk. But there are spirits that will strike you dumb. Don't be afraid to bind and silence them, and if they give you any grief tell them to go talk to your Supervisor. Pray his tongue be loosed that he may confess. If you pray in tongues it may help. There is power in the spoken word and that is part of the power of prayer. But you can only speak to the things you know of. There's probably a lot going on that you don't know about, so how can you speak in prayer to them? The Holy Spirit knows, if you allow the Spirit to pray thru you, you can speak to those mysteries you know nothing about.

And I throw that last in with no pressure that you do so. I don't know what you believe about that, I'm just saying it's an option to consider.

And of course don't put off earthly doctors. God has given them ways to help subdue the flesh. And your cousin needs all the help he can get it sounds like.

Father God, I come before you happy as always that I may, yet beholding in my usual giddiness by the seriousness of this approach. You know this person better than I do, You know this situation better than I do, You have an answer for it before I even come before You! Father flow your Holy Spirit into the situation and these people, gift them with knowledge and wisdom and words to address the mysteries You only know surrounding all this. Give them boldness to bind and silence spirits and loose tongues. Father may angels attend these, to minister and bear them up; and even more by Your power to occupy and do battle with the enemy. Lord as Gali faces these demons to command them bound, I pray with her claiming Your word of where two or more are gathered to seal them. Bring her people to lead her and teach her how to lead and teach her cousin... and her family. Embolden her, that in Your Name she may be bolder than the opposition. For Your authority , thru us, is greater than the oppositions. So why shouldn't we be bold? And Lord bless those doctors and others who prescribe care, may Your Spirit gift them as need be also. Father, it is only by the Blood of Your Son that we may approach You, it is only by the Blood of Your son that this flesh will be rid of those who take him away. I pray the Blood of Jesus over Gali, we pray the Blood of Jesus over her cousin, and we rejoice and praise and give You thanks that we may. And that You honor us so. Lord honor Gali's faith, as she has come before us to confess her need, may it be answered so a hundred fold.

In Jesus' awesome Name,

Amen!

Schizophrenics can not suddenly become normal to avoid a diagnosis. Although his symptoms do sound like schizophrenic, the voluntary nature of his attacks sound suspicious. You just don't turn real schizophrenia on and off.

I would look into Borderline Personality Disorder or Histronic, Personality Disorder which can be characterized at times with attention getting behaviour.

However, whatever the cause, he is not well. Possession is an option I am usually loathe to present but again, the voluntary nature of his symtoms seem to indicate a fair degree of control, which a demon would be capable of.

Praying for your cousin, and for you to seek God and your church community to help with these problems.

Prayed for Jesus to step in both spiritually and physically in this situation. Also prayed for strength and wisdom for you as you deal with this. Prayer is absolutely the best thing we can all do to fight what's going on in his life right now based on everything you wrote.

Gali0022, First off thank you sister for sharing your concerns. You let God have this too, so that the baby will be fine. Ok? That's important too.

"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me; he has appointed me to preach Good News to the poor; He has sent me to heal the broken-hearted and to announce that captives shall be released and the blind shall see, that the downtrodden shall be freed from their oppressors, and that God is ready to give blessings to all who come to Him." Luke 4:18-19.

"Father we ask that you come to our sisters aide and we thank her, as brethren, for by coming to this thread to ask for prayer she has brought her concerns to you, and to your holy people. Father this in, and of itself, is a prayer of action, Lord bless her for this act..we pray for her cousin who is very young still and we see there is still much hope, Father, if it is Schizophrenia that has afflicted him we know there can be withdrawing and frightening moments even. But Father, we ask you to lay your hands over him and this whole family. Heal him from the oppressor Father and give hope to those around him who you have left to serve him in faithfulness to you.

Father, there are over 600,000 patients currently in the United States who are being treated for this divergent disease, in many different categories and levels of grief. God, we ask that you help all of them, and we ask that this cousin can receive your healing in a supernatural way.

Help the families of those afflicted as well, release these people from bondage, For those who must fend for their loved one, encourage them Lord to stay in the fight to encourage. As normal emotions turn to wayward ones;as normal thoughts turn to wayward thoughts, Father we ask, fervently, for your intervention. Help this young man and show your glory in doing so. This is a problem we need to pray for in the lives of many and we thank you for answering our prayers ...and for bringing our attention to the problem......and we pray this in your Precious Name...[and all His people said,] Amen!!' ... and Amen!!

We hope for clearer answers, as to what is going on exactly, thru the doctor's and I pray you are able to leave this at His feet 'G'; He will be about it. God bless you and all your family and we pray for a quick answer to this for all concerned. God bless you richly!
