Lord I prayer for the husband of our dear sister, that what was meant for harm and
to cut a precious life short, will come to nothing. I prayer that what the medics
are not able to do in the natural, that Lord you will do in the supernatural bringing
healing and restoration to any damage caused.

Lord bring your peace and your strength into this situation for you are our strength
and help in troubled times. I pray Lynn will be able to be still before you and know
you are God and will be able to rejoice as she begins to see your hand working in this
situation.

Amen

He Careth For You

When thou passeth through the waters, I will be with thee, and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walketh through the fire thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee." Isa. 43:12

Latest news -- John's had the heart pump lowered and his heart is picking up the slack. That means is heart can still work. The word I feared as much as that has not been said -- "infection." If he can avoid that, then he might make it.

I'm finally daring to believe he might come home to me, instead of going home to God. (God can have him. Already does have him. I'd like some more share time though, just for a while longer.)

Thanks for everyone writing to me, but busy trying to handle stuff that can't wait, (apparently people like to see 59 year old frumpy women fully dressed in clean clothes. That's a thing. And hubby likes to know I'm eating well, since he's the cook in the family. I can cook. I just hate to cook, but I'm eating balanced dinners so he has one less thing to worry about.)

Could use prayers for me too. I couldn't go to my brothers' wedding because my back is bad. Now I got to see hubby at the hospital and my back is just as bad. No comfy chairs and I haven't been able to find his room without walking a mile yet. (City hospital. They stack them high and the inside is nothing but maze after maze. Doesn't help I have absolutely no sense of direction.)

Thank you so much for praying. I know it doesn't feel like much, but it really is.

His heart is going too strong to keep him on the pump he is on. (That's a good thing, since his heart is going strong.) He's still not getting enough oxygen, so has to have it put into his blood for him. Between the two, they're putting him on a smaller machine, which lets his heart do what it's supposed to do (pump), but continue to oxygenate his blood in the same method. (Take it out, add oxygen, and return.)

This is a small procedure, but it is an operation. And it's happening today, so could use prayers for that.

I'm doing better. Feeling better too, since the last time a major health scare made my blood pressure skyrocket, but this time? The doctor said it's beautiful -- exactly where it should be. He also said that since John made it past the first couple of days, he has a very good chance at recovery. (Well, maybe he doesn't know, God is, so chance doesn't exist, but I still liked the sound of it. lol)

Only worrisome thing is he's not oxygenating enough. Nurse says this happens. Fluid builds up in the lungs, but they've been pumping it out for days now. She gave me three possible causes, but I only remember the scary one -- "a small case of pneumonia."

So, two prayer requests:
1. Operation runs smoothly.
2. He starts oxygenating better!

All is managed on the home front, so today is a day with John!

Thanks for prayers again. (I can see the Prayer Request forum. Just no longer a member, so can't respond. Don't have time to anyway.)

Hi Lynn hopefully you will be able to read this next time you browse.

Praying for John's continued healing. For what is impossible with man is possible
with God.

My Aunt was in a similar position in October with the gas exchange
problem and fluid on lungs and she is 80 (it wasn't a heart attack it was
due to a different reason).

The doctors told me several times her heart would stop at any time.
But here we now are in November and she is doing well.
Praying that you will know God's peace in this situation.
The doctor's word is not the last word God holds us under His wing and
you are both previous to Him.
