I work an hourly position. We recently underwent a company transition to a different corporate company that has created twice the work for me. Now that my boss (who is a brother in Christ) has left the company, I have to try to do the work for both of us, and I just can't...It's not physically possible, and now the general manager is asking additional things of me that are not necessary and interfere with my ability to run payroll in a timely manner. I've tried to explain how long what he's asking will take me, but he insists that we have to change the way we're doing something.

Please pray that God place his presence into my workplace and drive out all chaos, confusion, and disorder, and that he grant me the time and patience and resources to complete my job. I'm trying to rely on God as much as I can, but I feel so overwhelmed.

Father, you made the sun stand still for Joshua and you multiplied the fish and loaves for Jesus to feed the masses. We ask Lord that you make divine provisions for our dear brothers workplace. You are a God of order and not confusion, we ask that The Holy Spirit permeate this workplace and cause a peace that passes all understanding. We thank you for the strength and wisdom to endure these trying times knowing that is works to our building up and not calamity. Thank You Jesus and glory to your name

amen

I am praying so that you can still find the peace from God even in the middle of the problems that come like storms.

I am praying. Do your best for it is all you can do, it sounds as if you are going the extra mile already, but be ready for change in your life and know that Jesus has control no matter what!

God is present in your workplace, because you are his and he's always present, especially for his kids. That doesn't mean he stops chaos, confusion, and particularly disorder. He uses those to train us into becoming more and more like him -- loving and merciful.

This might well be the time he's teaching you how to say No, even to your manager. And remember, you do what you can to the glory of God. It may well be you have to step up your game, but that doesn't mean you get the speed of the Flash. If you can't, you can't, but do all you can for God's glory, and you learn HIS efficiency, not Man's.

I was the bookkeeper for two companies (run by the same family under the same roof, so it was just a matter of remember which paperwork belonged to which company. lol) My boss and one of four owners wanted me to change the books by taking out the change. As in, if a debit or credit was $102.45, he wanted me to mark it down as $102. Um, NO! I was the bookkeeper and knew even the change was important to the accountants and the government. You don't change how "the books" works to fit one guy's whim. I flat out told him NO, but I burst out crying and had to run outside the building to compose myself. (Okay, I could have gone into the bathroom, but didn't think that out. lol)

Within a week, I quit. Worse yet, they were really trying to fire me, but didn't want to pay into unemployment if I applied for that, so they took me to the point I had to quit, because I wouldn't do what they wanted. Ends up the plan all along was to hire someone who knew how to run a computer program for the books, and they could hire her part time at less money then they were paying me.

BUT things weren't as they seemed. I had already started my own business and was just getting to the point of deciding at what point to I quit that job. (I wasn't to the point of quitting by a long shot, but it worked out they helped me get to that point much quicker.) Ultimately, they feared the new girl would need my help, so they negotiated that they'd let me get unemployment without contesting it, if I was available to help her.

I stuck by what I knew was right, and God showed it was his way of taking me where I wanted to go in the first place. You never know how God will work something out, until after he's worked it out. Our only job is to do all things for his glory.

BTW, new girl never needed my help. :)

So trust God to work out this chaos, confusion and disorder. He doesn't remove it, he just works at getting us to trust him more.
