...and tomorrow, and however long it takes to get out of here.

(And, Lord? I really wouldn't mind if it turns out to be only three inches.)

I pray no one gets hurt in the storm. 12 to 16 inches and blizzard conditions expected for my area. Please don't think bad of me but I'm excited!

Assuming the Penn part of your name is directly related to we live in the same state ...

Get on board with "only three inches, please, God." I just got the car back from the mechanics without getting it fixed, plus it's bugging me it's not coming until tomorrow during the day. If it came tonight, or even tomorrow night, I could at least take a taxi to the hospital. I'm going to be bummed, if I don't get my daily dose of hubby. Really bummed, if I can't see him Sunday either. Sunday is his birthday!

(Not really angry. Generally speaking, my goals for snowstorms has been "record breaker." lol)

Lynn, yeah I think I live pretty close to you in Philly northern suburbs. I want you to do what you need to do, and I CERTAINLY don't want anybody to get hurt, but I LOVE SNOW!!

BTW_ They just upped the storm totals for our area to 15 to 20 inches!

Don't get too excited. They do that every first storm, but they're usually right with the first totals they gave, (which, for the record, was a week ago, and was only three inches -- the reason I keep trying to talk God into keeping that one -- as if that works. lol) I'll take six inches, and you can have 2 feet. Deal? My family in Montgomery and Lehigh Valley are all safe at home, so let it snow... but only up north where it belongs.

Perchance, did God give me a firm NO on "only three inches?"

(It was over three inches before I went to bed last night. It hasn't let up since, and we're just starting into the heart of the storm. This will make it into the Top Five Worst Storms list. Our worse storm shut down the city for a week, and the following week, it was still good to leave the car at home. Actually, considering it was impossible to dig cars out, it wasn't really much of an option. This isn't even supposed to be over until about bedtime tonight.)

Vermont isn't gonna get any snow, but we DO have rain on the way.. Lots and lots of rain.. :/

Lord, please keep everyone in the path of this storm safe. Let the snow subside, and restore power to those who don't have it. In Jesus' name, amen.

The only people affected by that storm now are those on boats in the mid-Atlantic. Since most ships travel across the Atlantic in the North Atlantic, it's history for most of us.

Philly got 18 inches. They were predicting more for the northwest burbs, and since most of our snow was done by noon, and theirs kept going into the night... stupid meteorologists! They just had to be right, didn't they?

Now the big dig out! With our last mayor, our street was plowed within five hours after the storm. With the first mayor I lived through, our street was never plowed until we all chipped in for a small plow to go through. New mayor. (I don't think he's been mayor for a week yet.) No idea where he stands on plowing every street in Philly, (which, for the record, I think is a stupid waste of money including plowing my street), but it's 20 hours later and our street is as crisp and clean as new fallen snow. Probably because it really is new fallen snow. lol (Do you know how unusual it is to see crisp, clean snow in a city? I keep thinking snow is shades of gray.)

BUT, it should be warm enough tomorrow to start melting, Tuesday we have a chance at rain showers, and Friday it's going into the 50's, so I suspect God is in charge of clean up.

He saw it before I did. (He's on the eighth floor. lol)

He wasn't excited. He was worried about me. He's also sick again, so only has the strength to worry.
