I'm favoring spiritual truth over cultural sensitivity. If his culture promotes non-biblical teachings i'm not going to be sensitive to that.
And really, all anyone has done is ask what he means. No one really understands. How is it insensitive to tell someone you don't know what they mean and to ask him?

Notice he is saying 'destroy' a spiritual wife. Destroy.

I see what you mean. It just looks like you guys are attacking him to me. Where's the empathy?

Again, what attack? By stating we don't know what he means and asking him to explain?

I think he's under the impression that everything is spiritual in nature. Basically it's less about people making decisions, etc... and more about being influenced by spirits.
Problem i have with this idea is it removes personal responsibility because you can always blame it on a spirit.
Seems many people from African nations have this overly spiritualized concept about how things.

Though in this guys case he seems to think if he uses the same confusing statement over and over we'll magically understand.
Again, what attack? By stating we don't know what he means and asking him to explain?
The part about "Though in this guys case he seems to think if he uses the same confusing statement over and over we'll magically understand" might have been considered an attack. It's likely he understands English very well.

Well, she stated that 'you guys', as in collectively, the multitude of answers were attacking.
Also she did not quote the section you are saying may have been the problem.
And what i said in your quote is true. When asked what he meant, he responded with repeating the same things over and over. Is it really an attack to point out that he is not helping himself by stating the same thing repeatedly? Or is it pointing out that he is not helping by saying the same thing?

If he barely understands English, then maybe he's doing the best he can do.

We're trying to understand what he is saying. We are making suggestions to try and help him out. He doesnt understand English and we're not understanding him. No one is attacking him. You cant have empathy with someone when you dont know what they are saying.

First you say 'he PROBABLY understands english very well'.
Next you say 'if he BARELY understands english'.

What you never did say is how my stating his repeating isn't helpful is an attack. So far we know you can contradict yourself, but we don't know that you can answer questions directed at you.

If you're going to change directions from one post to the next, then clearly you have no valid argument and are simply just arguing to be a jerk. So i'm done with you.

No, Ugly, I never said, "'he PROBABLY understands english very well" or anything remotely close to that.

I think Ugly was talking to someone else
Perhaps that is what he meant to do, but he quoted my post, so I had say SOMETHING. When I get in a hurry, I sometimes mess things up, also.

What is the "they" you are referring to? The anti-marriage spirit isn't an actual spirit. It's just a desire to not want to get married..
