I need prayer, not advice. John is sicker tonight than he was this morning. He feels awful. His poop bag leaks and he has a bedsore healing on his bum, so the bag leaking may cause bigger problems. (He also says the wound is well protected, so it's not a problem.) They held off feeding him yesterday, until they decided if it was safe because the place where his feeding tube goes into his belly hurt like crazy when he was being given his medication through the feed tube, and today they held off for half a day. When the nurse finally did feed him, she was so busy she didn't notice the only thing getting through was water. Diarrhea is his reward when he is fed. Worse yet, it's his reward if he's not fed.

My husband hurts. My impulse is to call someone and make them do something for him. He says not to. My impulse... well, very hard to control an impulse, very hard not to do whatever I can for him, and mostly no idea what I can or should do. Please pray God lets me know what to do or he does what needs to be done.

I prayed for your situation and will continue to do so, and will pray that God might give some guidance for you and your husband in this time. One thing the Lord did show me in prayer is that you a like super-woman, with great resilience and strength. Will keep praying, God bless you. :)

There isn't a MUCH better hospital you can get him transferred to?

Ah, thanks everyone. God answered. The answer that drives me the most up the wall -- "Wait."

Now, mentally I have all this stuff planned out what to say to them tomorrow, but I've seen this before. God will have this covered by then.

He was transferred from "much better" to this hospital. This hospital is much better than "much better" hospital, but that hospital was much better for what John needed back then.

(The other hospital was the seventh best hospital in the country for cardiac care, eighth best for trauma, but got a 4 out of 10 for patient care. And I agree. Their patient care was lousy, but their other expertise saved his life more than once. He's in the VA Hospital now. Patient care is obviously not a 10, but better than a 4. And if you have to get someone to rehab you after all this, can you think of anyone more qualified than the same people who rehab soldiers when they come home? Not perfect, but I see God working it out for John's good, despite the "their driving us nuts.")

Lovely Lynn, you are such an inspiration to so many, with your caring ways and kindness, and compassionate nature. I understand alot. we must not get anxious as it really is in God's Hands. As you see already John is on a better hospital, keep thinking like that, and praising the Lord. I know you will get the help you need. we followers of your posts are very much behind you, and you know prayers are uplifting you by the min. This is a testimony of your complete faith in the Lord. I have become very close to your situatoon, because I know and understand what feeling anxious is. I still get anxious and have bad thoughts, but it's all part of my illness. Take Care Lynn, love Mandy xx
