I am addicted to drugs. This is so painful for me. I never thought at 36 something like this would happen to me. I'm trying to get off drugs right now. I'm slowly tapering off without a doctor. I'm in a profession that is not appropriate for someone doing drugs.
I am addicted to prescription painkillers that I was prescribed after surgery. It's an old story. I ask; I Plead for your prayers to help me through the weekend so I can put this behind me once and for all.

Thanks for reading...

Painkillers are sometimes in a class by themselves. They can kill just by quitting them. Sure, taper off, but talk to your doctor about how best to do that, because it sounds like you're planning on quitting this weekend, and that can kill you.

I am praying for you, but I am also praying that if it is His will that you would do this with the help of a doctor.

Heavenly Father, thank you Lord, for your grace, mercy and peace.
Thank you, Jesus for the victory you've won over all our addictions to sin.

Jesus, you have broken the chains, that held our captive soul.
Jesus, you have broken the chains, and used them on your foe.
All your enemies are bound, they tremble at the sound of your name,
Jesus, you have broken the chains!

Lord, please let those of us with addictions realize the deliverance you've already won for us, that we may walk in newness of life, without shame, as more than conquerors.

Help us put on the full armor of God.
Help us to walk worthy of the salvation you won for us, with joy in the promises you give us.....all sins forgiven, victory over the enemy, eternal life, our names written in heaven.

Hallelujah! Thank you, Jesus! Amen!

nvrsleep...Just know that there is no mountain too high or river too deep that the Lords healing power cannot reach. Jesus simply wants you to take the step of total surrendering this addition to Him & HE WILL SET YOU FREE!!! I'm not sure how long you have been addicted to pain pills, or how many you have been taking per day, but you may need to see a Dr. to help you get off these pills safety. Jesus Loves You! & He has already provided a way out of this addiction. Jesus will completely restore you both mentally & physically in every way. He will take this toxic addiction out of your life for good & rebuild Strength into your soul & spirit. Jesus is a Master Rebuilder of our lives. He is more than qualified to make your life stronger & better than it ever was before. The enemy will try to convince you that you have gone too far & there is no way out of this addition. Please recognize these thoughts as nothing but a lie, that is No match for the Resurrection Power of our Lord Jesus Christ. Right now, if you haven't already, take the stand against this defeated mind set & say Yes to Trusting Your Lord & Savior Jesus Christ. He will give you a brand new beginning in life. 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

I pray for her testimony.
The enemy would have her bound, addicted and shipwrecked with ruined health and no future.

I BREAK THAT OFF HER IN JESUS NAME. GET OFF HER YOU INTRUDER.LEAVE HER AND NEVER COME BACK.

She will be made whole, set free and enjoy a robust life. I decree it over her in the mighty name of Jesus.

Take a stand girl. That thing will try to destroy you but no.It will not.

Let every wrong friend and every poisonous relationship vanish supernaturally from her life. Give her the ahariht lord (the ability to see the destruction, and be led by wisdom, and not emotion)

I pray for her mind. I cover your mind in the blood of Jesus, and I pray that every single source of drugs be supernaturally removed.

Strengthen her. Overshadow her,and send powerful laborers across her path. Draw her in to you Lord. Put a special mantle on her. Make her your servant.Your special agent to lead others out of bondage.

First of all, without God's help, you CANNOT beat this addiction on your own. Secondly, "tapering off" the drugs is dangerous to do with a doctor's help.

Lord, please help this woman kick her addiction to drugs. Give her a distaste for them. Lead her to a doctor who can successfully help her wean off the drugs. In Jesus' name, amen.

God delivered me from anxiety pills so I speak from experience. I didnt go to a doctor. Its common sense to wean slowly off of the pills. Cut down by half for a month. Then cut that in half for a month. Then cut that in half for a month and so on. Before you know t, you will be down to the last smidgen for a month and then none! God can help you do the same thing. God is the GREAT physician !! Go to the Lord about this. He will direct your path. Commit to doing what is not always easy.Pray for deliverance from them. Your body is dependent on the pills and only God can remove that snare through deliverance. All it takes is the faith of a mustard seed! Do you have the faith God is looking for?

Go to God for all your needs. He is in the deliverance business:)

I pray that you speak with the captain of your faith about this and let him give you the instruction you need. Amen

if you trust your heavenly Father and believe that He can perform a miracle in you
at any cost to your body, then submit and believe that no matter what you have to
endure, He will be by your side and make sure that you survive, 'if it is His will'...

Praying for you, but PLEASE don't let the enemy try to isolate you. It is one of his most powerful weapons. It is awesome that you came here seeking prayer, but you really need Godly sisters that can help you, that live close. As well as that BE CAREFUL quitting without a Drs. aid.

May the Lord fill your mind and heart with His goodness and presence. In Jesus name I pray.

That is the worst part. The isolation. I am so ashamed. I am so alone. Thank you so much for your prayers and advice. I will truly take it to heart.

My heart breaks for the pain you are in. Please don't feel shame. I can absolutely assure you that most, if not all, people are struggling with issues that might seem waaay more shameful to most people than a pain med addiction.

If you are not going to A Church you can get help at I would find one. There are many wonderful sisters here on CC that you could PM for help. Most of all, YOU are greatly loved by Your Father in heaven, AND your brothers and sisters in Christ.

Peace, Grace, and Love to you as you start the week.

That's not entirely true blue, I have met people who were addicted to drugs they were not Christians and no one cared about them they saw them as a lost cause.
These people simply by the strong desire to not be controlled by the drugs were able to become clean no help simply the burning desire to never again let the drugs have power over them. It was hell absolute hell but they did it. The human will has great power and can overcome.

However I do not share their strength in their iron will I am and have been addicted to caffeine for years caffeine is a drug not an illegal one but it is a drug I do not have the strength to quit on my own and so I rely on God, I am still not over my addiction but from his help I require much less amounts of it each day. It's still more than a person should have but I can see the fruits of placing my trust in him
