Prayer for Fort McMurray, Alberta

Please play for the people in this northern city. The entire city of 62,000 people have been evacuated because of a fierce and fast moving fire, which has destroyed numerous homes, businesses, and jumped the highway south to Edmonton.

Fort MacMurray is infamous for being the location of the tar sands. Numerous Hollywood stars have tried to shut down the tar sands, including, most recently at the Oscars, Leo Dicaprio.

In fact, the tar sands account for less than 0.01% of the carbon output of the planet. Reclamation of the various sites is amazing, but missed somehow by the so called "stars!"

Please pray for the people. My best friend from high school, and other people we know are there, and many people have lost everything in this resource based town.

Yes Lord, we bring this prayer before you, please bless everyone, in Jesus name, Amen!

Praying here,my cousins son and his wife live there. They were trying to get out of town but the highway was bumper to bumper traffic. Last I heard they were able to get outside of town but a lot more were trying to get out. They are asking for people with firefighter training to go help.

There is nothing beyond the power of Devine intervention so Lord we sure need it now. So many people are going to be out of their minds with fears and anxiety and questions. We thank you for that peace and comfort beyond all understanding. We cry out to you Lord as the children of the most High God in complete intercession for your children. May mercy and grace pour down upon them right now in this most... Urgent... Need Lord. Thank you Lord for hearing our prayers. Thank you for being with all those people and giving them grace..... The fire is really taking a toll, and still is not under control. Apparently it is 100 square Km, and 88,000 people have now been evacuated. We were watching ABC news, and they not only reported it, they had a reporter at the scene. This will really impact how Canada is able to get oil out of the ground, and get it to market.

"An estimated 1,600 homes and buildings have been destroyed by raging wildfires in Fort McMurray, Alta., and officials worry that the worst may be yet to come.The province declared a state of emergency Wednesday afternoon, as more than 250 firefighters battled the flames. The province said more than 80,000 people have heeded its mandatory evacuation order. It warned them against attempting to return home.
The northern Alberta town, which is Canada’s oilsands capital, was caught off guard by a quick-spreading fire on Tuesday. With temperatures extending past 32 degrees Celsius and winds continuing to fan the flames, officials said Wednesday that the fire could get worse."

Father please bring a heavy rain to put the fires out. Amen

The fire continues to rage out of control. Many are not truly evacuated, as they went north, which is a road that goes nowhere. The only highway south is still impassable because of the fires on each side of the road. They tried convoys, but the fire was just too hot and dangerous.

So anywhere from 25,000 to 40,000 are caught up north. Pray they can get out. Pray for the families of the 2 teenagers who were killed when a water bomber impaired their vision while driving out and they crashed into a semi. Pray for those who are separated from their families.

And pray for rain. The wind is being whipped up by the fire, and lighten has also been created by the fire storm. There are daily 10 or more new fires started by lightening strikes created by the fire. People in fire prevention say the fire cannot be put out without rain. So pray for rain. There has been no rain in Alberta for months. Very unusual for Alberta! It is not desert, but prairie, and more rain always falls.

Also pray that the left wing losers will stop saying hurtful things, like blaming the fire on Fort MacMurray, because of global warming created by the oil sands. Except the carbon output is almost nothing, especially compared to things like cities in China.

And pray for the individuals who have lost everything. God is in control, but right now, he seems to have taken his hand off the city of Fort MacMurray.

I will never stop believing God isn't doing something, he has to be... Especially for the beautiful people and country of Canada.....

Lord, we come to you in this time of great need, great anxiety, great sorrow.... We know you are always in control... For your thoughts and ways are higher than ours.... Lord, hear our prayers, from the deepest part of our hearts and soul, hear our prayers..... What seems to be impossible in our mortal perception of things are but a twinkle in your eye.... Lord God, in the name of Jesus, please... Save your precious people... Amen

Father God, please put this fire out and help these people. Please give them peace and strength for the days ahead, Amen.
