I didn't post this before, but I had some minor surgery to remove a screw from my right foot today. I knew that it was a pretty simple operation, it took about 15 minutes from freezing to leaving. I am not allowed to put my foot on the ground for 10 days to 2 weeks. That is the "coping" part of the title.

So I am getting all kinds of complications with trying to get around. I have a pulled hamstring on my left side, making it very hard to get up and down and using that side and the crutches. I can manoeuvre on the hardwood with my wheelchair, but not on the carpets in our room. I can't figure out how to get into the garden at all, because it is all grass to the veggie beds.

Plus, I'm feeling a bit of PTSD from the original surgery in 2009, which was one of the worst things I have ever been through in my life - including the screw working its way part way out (which is why I needed this surgery) and the bunion not healing for 5 months, when it was supposed to be 6 weeks.

So please pray for me to trust God, one more time in a big way, and to figure out a way to be a bit more mobile. Or, to find that elusive patience, and develop that fruit of the Holy Spirit more, and be able to live the next few weeks with eternity etched on my heart from my bed.

Thank you everyone!

PS. On a more positive note - the RA flares have subsided almost completely. I am still getting some tendoniitis in my hands, which hurts, but not as bad as losing the use of the joints. Thanks to so many here who prayed for the meds to work and for God to touch my body! He hears and answers prayers! Hallelujah!

Sending prayers your way sister. I'm glad everything went well. I know you'll be able to trust in God and learn to cope. I'm sorry the PTSD causing a problem. That's definitely something I can understand. But I'm praying for ya Sister!

It's hard to realize sometimes, I know it's been that way for me and its actually kind of silly, but what God has done for you before he will do again.. That's one of the most amazing things about Him, He has no favorites, what He has done for one of His kids He will do for all of them... The promise He gives to one He gives to all.... Lol, aren't we all just silly... Lord we are, how could we ever forget how much love you truly have for us and everything that it covers... Thank you so much for how much your powerful love covers our friend Angela... How blessed she is... Thank you Lord... Amen

He is the Lord who will bring dry bones to live and raise the dead to life. He is the Healer and the creator. New bone, new cells they will form in the mighty name of Jesus. Your father is the Jehova Rapha, the healer. I know of so many such cases when one is bound to immobility for the purpose of healing (I was one of these cases) and every person I know has used this time with the Lord getting closer to him, writing songs to him, strengthening their spiritual gifts, one person even spent this time leading her husband to Christ.

He is always there for you. Pain flees in the name of Jesus. With this attitude in Christ you might end up recovering a lot sooner than when the doctors have said. God bless you!
