I'm in the middle of this huge fire in California, and was evacuated today. I know some of you are wonderful prayer people, and I needed to let you know I could use some.

This fire changes direction every hour it seems since the winds are mighty and change all the time. We think it is leaving, then it backs around.

Hopefully, this will clear and I can go home tomorrow.

Lord Jesus, I pray by your mighty strength, that You Lord would cause these wild fires to cease! Lord, there are many who are fleeing their homes, and this can be a terrifying ordeal to go through. Lord, I know you are hearing these prayers, so we trust that the winds will stop & the fires will be put out. I pray this in Jesus Mighty name...

Joi........so sorry to hear that. We've been watching the news on that. I'm glad you got out safely. Are you staying with friends? Family? when do you expect to be able to go back home? I will lift up prayers for your property and your family.

I'm back home - haven't heard that the evacuation has been lifted, but the skies seem to be much better. I stayed with my son who lives a little distance away. Thank you for your prayers. When you have to leave suddenly, you find out what you really value - a toothbrush and a cell phone. :) Other things you just mindlessly pick up. But I did look at my wonderful piano with a big sigh...

When you live out in the hills like I do, you always keep a full tank of gas in the car. Goes without saying. And you have vital things together in a bag. And always a plan.

Across the road from us, our neighbor had to move 50 Arabian horses from his stables. The street was jammed with horse trailers. Those horses did not want to go. And the smoke was bothering them for sure. (I know how they felt!)

Thank you for caring.

Joi,

you are a joy to so many of us, and we have experienced your beautiful Faith in your Father -
this being said, we are sure that you were ready, willing, and able to withstand the situation
that our Father had you go through for whatever reason - we must always be ready and trustful,
for our seasons will always change throughout our lives and the more we Love Him, the more we learn
to accept whatever comes our way - for unlike so many others we are our Father's children and must be ready
to accept all of the situations that come with the Faith and Trust and Hope that He has instilled inside of our hearts...
