Good evening. I am a parent of a child name Matt. He has a very rare genetic disease. As a result of this disease, he has very weak skeletal muscles. He has to utilize a ventilator to assist him in breathing. He cannot swallow well, therefore he has to be fed thru his stomach. In addition to this,he is non-ambulatory. Its been a very challenging past two years since he's been born. We have continued to pray for his healing, but honestly we just dont see much progress. The lifespan of patients with this disease is very short.
However,there is biotech company called Audentes, which is supposed to have a vaccine to possibly cure this disease. They were suppose to start human trials a year ago, then they pushed it back. As time went on, and efforts to gain more insight were made, it seems that there are more hurdles in place before this company can bring out this vaccine. At this point, I dont know what to believe, it seems as if they dont even know how to move forward. Please pray for a breakthru with this company. And just pray for my famiy as a whole. Me and my wife gets discouraged a lot, and we dont care where the healing (for my son) comes from, as long as it just come.
