Sometimes it's gets to me, all the negative posts in BDF. I try and see the good and how God works in this world, but even here in my personal favorite forum, we can focus too much on what we want from God instead of what He has already blessed us with.

So I thought it would be nice is we have prayers of thanks for the many blessings God has already given us.

Thank you Lord for the bus drivers and teachers, may your blessings give them joy and peace and wisdom to love, guide and correct each child as You would discipline them with love.

Thank you Lord for giving us time and peace to find joy in the natural beauty around us and time spent with family and friends. Help us to reach out and share the love with others who have not yet established the network of friends.

Thank you Lord for food and shelter. Help us see beyond our comforts and show us how we can truly help give people a hand up and not a hand out. Show us how we can teach them to fish and never be hungry again.

Lord thank you for blessing us with musicians that can sing and play music that praise you. May our hearts always sing songs of praise into your glory.

In Jesus name we praise you Lord, amen,

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank you so much for loving me & my family, I thank you for watching over us and keeping us safe from harm, for encouraging us, for helping us to be all we can be in You, for giving us unity with each other and those around us, thank you that we have food to eat, shoes to wear, and a place to call home, please touch all those who do not have the benefit of all of these blessings, touch the ones who are homeless, help them to find shelter and a way out of the poverty that they are in, touch the ones who are sick, and bring healing, touch the ones who are not yet part of your fold, and bring them into your marvelous grace, we give you all the praise, honor and glory , and we thank you for hearing our prayers, in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen.

Thank you, Lord, that I went to the hospital (for an appointment) with John instead of going to visit John.

Thank you that you cured him of smoking and now cured him of COPD.

Thank you that when he goes back to visit those who saved his life, even when we have no idea where they are at that moment, they just pop up in the hallway at the right time.

Thank you for ten days of no one coming to see him for in-home help and we had no appointments. It was so nice to have over a week of just normal life again.

Thank you for the rain today.

Thank you that you encourage us both with reminders of your surety and grace on FB of all places.

Thank you for taking good care of your kids.

Amen!

I thank you and praise you that you are sovereign and that no trial, temptation or suffering comes our way without you either allowing it or ordaining it for our good.
Thank you for showering us from top to toe with your grace .....we simply cannot save ourselves - but you took the initiative to meet us right where we were at .....even at our darkest hour and you have rescued us at infinite cost to yourself.We will never know your sufferings - our minds cannot fathom them ....but we praise you and lift you up and thank you for choosing us to be your very own people.

Thank-you also for temporal blessings.....sweet sleep, delicious food, hot cups of coffee in winter, good books, fellowship, physical safety, good medical care, times of solitude - to reorientate our thoughts.........
Thank you for these and countless other blessings that your pour out on us....we may not even be aware of how you are working in our lives ...but thank-you for never leaving our side.
You are faithful, just, beautiful, a creative genius and we give you praise.
In Jesus mighty name ,

Thank you Lord for keeping us safe in the wake of hurricane Hermaine. Thank you for the little ones and their smiles and laughter. Thank you for songs and worship music that lifts our hearts as we glorify you.
