Driving lesson and car

Hello all

I would love some prayers. I am going to have a driving lesson tomorrow. It is in a car that I'm not used to driving. In my previous experiences of driving this car I have not done a good job with it especially as I tend to stall it. I am nervous. I need to do a good drive and be ready for sitting my actual driving test in 6 weeks with only two lessons beforehand.

Another thing is I need a vehicle. There is couple of possibilities at this stage but Dad who oversees my buying of a car is negative about them.

I know how nerve racking it can be. I don't drive in part of eye sight but also due to fear... I realized after 20 years it came from when I was in elementary school. My mom had dropped me off at school. Close to the house a guy ran a stop sign and hit her. She had back and neck pain and ultimately got hook on narcotics for it... Point being that I had blamed myself for the accident as kid, and from that moment on guess developed a fear of getting behind the wheel. Like I would get panic attacks and such, and had convinced myself I could never forgive myself if I was responsible for hurting another driver..

I know kinda just ranted but your prayer kinda made me think of that. I've been slowly telling myself that it's okay and that I could do it. I'm really thinking about going to take my test. Had a lot of practice as I drive a golf cart for work. I mean if I can drive in a parking lot in a golf cart, surely I can drive a car. At least, I've been trying to convince myself that. But I pray for your test and that you're able to pass! Also pray for the situation with your dad. God will work that out in His timing.

Hannah, driving a car is similar to riding a bicycle, once you learn how, you will not forget!!

I guess you drive stick? I've never driven stick but that's usually what my friends who do said they used to stall out the car sometimes.....

Relax, you will be fine, I was very nervous when I first started driving around 15, so much that I would sweat, and get dry mouth lol.....It's a big step but the Lord is with you, initially you may be nervous but after a while it becomes second nature....I've been driving for 11 years now lol....you can do it!

All right I had my lesson yesterday. I handled the car better didn't stall too much. Not far away from sitting my test maybe 2 more lessons. The driving instructor was nice and easy with me. Praise the Lord! Thank you for all the prayers
