man keep your faith in GOD. analyze your thoughts and santify your mind in the bible, it says cast down any evil thoought that comes agaist the knowledge of GODs WORD. suicide definatly is in that catigory, but seriosly. santify every thought that you have and replace it with the WORD of GOD you have to (just like all CHRISTIANS) renew your mind, same mind same life, same life same actions.

It's going to be okay. Having thoughts of suicide, especially on certain medications can happen. As long as you know in your heart it's not something you want to do, and you don't act on the thought, you're going to be okay. I've thought of suicide a lot simply because it's happened in my family, but thinking something and doing something aren't always the same thing. Take a deep breath, and with all you strength and all your faith say outloud, "GET BEHIND ME SATAN". Then smile, think of the greatest thing in your life, and sing a praise to Jesus, even if it's a song you have to make up. You'll be amazed at how much more at peace your mind will be. If the thoughts intensify, or start negatively impacting your life too much, please get help. There is always help available. PM me and I'll give you my phone number and talk to you through it if need be. Just, don't let it overwhelm you or cause you to harm yourself. I'll be praying for you.

There's no harm in asking the community to pray for you in this situation. I definitely won't tell you that your fears are meaningless either. I see that this troubles you, and I will pray for you. I personally think that you'll be fine and that you mainly just need comfort. Sometimes we face mere spooks thrown at us to put us off course momentarily. But nonetheless, it is important because you felt the need to bring it to the forums. Try to relax and read your bible too. These are things that we can all benefit from.

It was most likely the Ativan (lorazepam). Suicidal thoughts are a known side effect to anti-anxiety medications (notice that 'side effect' means it COULD happen, not that it always happens - so not everyone will experience them). I'm a pharmacy tech so I know a little bit about drugs.

Only you and God know what's going on in your head, so I'm going to encourage you to talk to God. I can give you advice but I don't know how helpful it will be. Suicide is no joke, there is a lot of inner turmoil and trauma that brings people to a state where their natural instincts to save themselves from harm are dulled. You need to read your Bible and pray (not that I am making assumptions here you don't).

God is your protector, so pray he protects you.

Also, keep in mind that the Devil plays dirty and he often attacks us at our most vulnerable. For me that has always been before I awake and before I fall asleep.
