Hello,

If you could all please pray for me? My husband, the love of my life, was killed by a man being chased by police at 100 miles per hour. The assailant was believed to be drunk and was running from them because he had past offenses.

My world is shattered, we got married five weeks before he was killed and those weeks were complete bliss. I am so broken. I know that God is completely in control and His will is far above my own, but I'm hurting. Please pray that I don't grow bitter, that I lean on the Lord for strength.

I know that God knew exactly how many days my husband was to be on earth, and I'm trying to trust in that, even though I don't ever get to be married to him again (something I'm dealing with as well), I know that I will see him again in glory. I take comfort that he isn't suffering and that he is worshiping our Savior!

Thank you for reading this post.

I lost a loved one in 2007. It is like having your guts torn out.

I will pray for you.

It seemed to me at the time, that nothing helped me,except a small, small amount of people that I could tell really cared, and those that I could tell were callous and uncaring seemed to magnify my pain. Now holy Spirit come and help us. Send your angels to her to minister to her and help her mourn her loved one and give us an ability to feel her awful pain.

Grief has stages, you have to have 2 awareness's.
1) the different stages

2) when to shut the grief down and move on.

Looking back,I grieved too long. ( a full year)

Heavenly Father, we lift up your daughter before your presence and we boldly come before your throne of grace asking for your healing hand to be upon her at this very moment. Lord give her a peace that surpasses all understanding and guard her heart and her mind in Christ Jesus. She needs you Lord, now more than ever. She needs your love & comfort & peace to wash over her. Please, Lord we ask that you help her not lean on her own understanding but to trust in you during this difficult time. I ask Lord that you protect her heart from any root of bitterness and supply all of her needs in every area of her life so that she may pass through these waters but that they cannot & will not overtake her. Incline your ear Lord to the cries of your daughter and deliver her from all of her fears. In the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Father God, please lift Edenbrooke up Oh Lord, please comfort her Father, hold her close while she grieves. Let her be surrounded with people that will love her and that share her faith Oh God. I ask you Father not to let Edenbrooke have a hard heart Lord, keep it open and full of Love and grace so that her light may shine and she be an inspiration to others. These things I ask in your Holy and Almighty Name, Amen

Personally I think if you run from the cops they should take you out immediately. It's time they stop worrying about criminals rights and start protecting ours.

You have my prayers!

I know you are hurting very badly inside, but you will see your husband again in the next life. I hope it helps you to be aware of that.

I can't imagine what that must be like. I pray God give you a peace inside that only He can through this and to draw you closer than ever before for your comfort and His glory. Amen.

It seems pretty apparent that there are people here that you can always talk to if/when you need to help, to help to see you through this. I am so sorry that this is what the world has dealt you, this is why we can not put our ultimate faith in this world or the things in it, and have to be thankful for every day we have and are blessed by Him. I know all too well how unfair this world can be, but we have hope. We have the ONLY HOPE, and we must to never lose sight of Him, He is the only hope for anyone. I am so sorry for your loss, I can't imagine but I am thankful you know Jesus at the same time because without Him all there would be was despair.

my dear one, i sorrow with you. :(

i just wanted you to know that here in prayer requests, when people "like" your post, it means they're praying for you.

The Lord bless you and keep you.
The Lord make His face shine on you and be gracious to you.
The Lord lift up His countenance on you and give you peace. (Num 6:24-26)

i will be praying. there's no time limit on grief, and just so you know and don't be hard on yourself, you don't 'get over' a loss like this, you learn to live with it.

love,
ellie
