Feeling down and trying to decide if it's better to talk to people or to be away from people. Think about myself too much and how I feel too much, instead of thinking about other people. I really want to die but I'm afraid of hell. Not really in my right mind right now so prayers appreciated. Thanks.

I'll say a prayer for you before bed regardless, but I will be awake for a few hours more if you decide you want to talk to someone also.

If not in the normal un suicidal state I wouldnt be alone then. I would be searching to see where are these feelings coming from and why. Or what seems to spark these terrible emotions.

Life can take a turn for the better in an instant. Hang in there! God has good plans for your life! Life is a gift that I pray you will begin to treasure because He loves you so much, and we want you to remain here with us until God's plan has been fulfilled in your life. Blessings!

Sounds like you have some serious problems. I had some serious depression when I was in my twenties. I got some professional help, and that made me feel better. What helped in the long run, though, was when the Lord led me to discontinue several bad habits I had.

It might be wise for you to talk to a pastor or other counselor about this.

I'm not sure talking to a psychologist or taking medication will really help. I've seen people who did that and didn't really change their depression. Do you guys think suicide is really that wrong? Like I think about and just want to be with God, not trying to find him and deal with sin on earth. Like I'm not going to do anything right away but think about it a lot. When I am in a "good" mood and enjoy life, I don't want anything to do with God, but when I think about death it makes feel like I love God so much and just want to be with him. Do you think that is really that wrong?

Yes suicide is wrong. God gave you this life, you have absolutely no right to prematurely end it. That's just being selfish, stupid and foolish. If you were hoping for an easy life, you thought wrong. We aren't promised a cushy life, God expects us to make the most of it and do the best we can. Not sit around wondering "why me" and pondering if suicide is "really that bad"..

umzza, let not your heart be troubled. You have a great destiny on you and the Lord doesnt want you to missed it. A year or two, when you look back and remember this point in your life, you will laugh and thank God. You are precious, life is precious.

You may be going through something right now that later you may be able to help someone else. I pray that God gives you the strength to keep going. Open. Your heart and your ears so that the holy Spirit may guide you. Life is hard. It doesn't seem fair and we do not understand. I struggle with the why and what is my propose. I keep praying and reading scriptures just craving the guidance. I pray for you as well. Keep moving forward something great will happen ❤

I am so terribly sorry you are feeling bad. So many people are in that state. Some here as well. I know that unless someone has been in that dark pit of apathy or despair they can't really understand what you are going through.

Feelings are TEMPORARY! Feeling happy is temporary. Feeling anger is temporary. Feeling sad is temporary... TRUTH is eternal. And the Truth you need to embrace is that God loves YOU so much, that He gave His Son so that YOU can spend eternity in joy with Him.

Ask Him into your heart. Believe He rose from the dead and lives! The change may not be immediate, but He WILL work in you for His Glory and your Good.

Holy Father, please reveal Your Truth to this young lady. Let her feel Your Presence, and give her the joy in the knowledge of You. In Jesus sweet Name I pray.

Yes, I think that is really that wrong.

Suicide is the last thing the Lord wants you to do. You are already with him. Killing yourself won't get you any closer.

And it would never occur to me to suggest you take medication for this.

I suspect the Lord wants you to make a lifestyle change. You aren’t alone. I think the Lord wants most of us to make lifestyle changes. Our lifestyles can get us into a lot of trouble.

And you really have to always be praying and walking with the Lord. You said, “When I am in a ‘good’ mood and enjoy life, I don't want anything to do with God.” Instead of not wanting anything to do with the Lord, share your good times with him. He wants you to be happy, but he also wants you to appreciate the good times he gives you.

I just read through all the posts in this thread. You got some great advice. It's not about giving up. I'd encourage you to read through the Old Testament book of Ecclesiastes. King Solomon, the wisest man who ever lived, struggled to find pleasure in life even though he had anything and everything he could ever want. So he took the time to evaluate life. I love reading through this book when I'm feeling discouraged or depressed. Why? Because Solomon concludes that nothing in this life matters apart from God. Our purpose in life is to bring honor and glory to the God who made us and loves us. He loves you so much that he sent his son to die for you so that you might have eternal life with him. Holy Cow!!! If you don't think life is worth living, just think about that for a moment. He wants you to have eternal life, eternal living. He has given us the gift of life. Live it and love it! Count your blessings every day. Look for those blessings every day. Don't ever stop looking!

I'd love to encourage you to talk with your family Dr about how you're feeling, or to a counselor...just talk with someone who can help you work through the feelings you're having about wanting to die. Those aren't normal feelings, they indicate that something isn't quite right and you might need a little help.

Praying for you, umzza.

Haven't been to the doctor since I was young so I'd have to find another one. My mom would find out from the insurance and I don't want that. Talking to people doesn't seem to work. When it comes down to it, every single person including me only cares about them self. That's why I'm like I want to be with God. People and relationships are meaningless. Anything "nice" I do is just for myself.

In answer to your earlier question, yes, suicide is really wrong. It is murder. Just because you are murdering yourself does not make it any less sinful or bad. You would be removing one of God's children from the earth when He put you here for a purpose. If you are still living, you have not fulfilled the full purpose of your life. I think there are lots of people who genuinely care about others. At the same time, I can understand how you may be at a place in your life where you are in a lot of pain and there may not be anyone out there who is looking out for you. I pray God would send some really caring people in your life so that you can open up to them. There are a lot of ppl in ChristianChat that would open to hear you open up about somethings that may have been painful in the past. You could also call a suicide hotline or a careline. There are a lot of opportunities to discover what is causing you to feel this way. If you are afraid to go to the doctor and are suicidal, it might help to care for yourself in natural ways like taking walks in daylight to get some Vitamin D or taking St. John's Word if you think it would be safe. Still praying for you because I care about you. :)

John 15:19
If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.

James 4:4
Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? Whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.

1 John 2:15
Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

2 Corinthians 12:10
That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

1 Corinthians 4
[SUP]11 [/SUP]Even unto this present hour we both hunger, and thirst, and are naked, and are buffeted, and have no certain dwelling place; [SUP]12 [/SUP]And labor, working with our own hands: being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we suffer it: [SUP]13 [/SUP]Being defamed, we entreat: we are made as the filth of the world, and are the off scouring of all things unto this day. [SUP]14 [/SUP]I write not these things to shame you, but as my beloved sons I warn you."

Matthew 5
3 “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 4 Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. 5 Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth. 6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. 7 Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy. 8 Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. 9 Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God. 10 Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 11 Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. 12 Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

Matthew 10
22 You will be hated by everyone because of Me, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.

John 12:25
Anyone who loves their life will lose it, while anyone who hates their life in this world will keep it for eternal life.

Philippians 1
21 For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. 22 If I am to go on living in the body, this will mean fruitful labor for me. Yet what shall I choose? I do not know! 23 I am torn between the two: I desire to depart and be with Christ, which is better by far; 24 but it is more necessary for you that I remain in the body. 25 Convinced of this, I know that I will remain, and I will continue with all of you for your progress and joy in the faith

1 Thessalonians 3
7 Therefore, brothers and sisters, in all our distress and persecution we were encouraged about you because of your faith. 8 For now we really live, since you are standing firm in the Lord.

That feeling that you don't belong in this world? It's because you don't belong to this world. The fact that you suffer in it says you must be doing something right. God says to persevere. Paul said he would. Shall we do any less?
