So,
I've been trying to find a new therapist.
Our search has come to them either taking people older than 14, or not having available slots.
Which really sucks, but just pray that we get at least some success rate soon.

Praying for you now, Natania!

There's always people who have to cancel at times. Are you on a waiting list?

Sometimes when things take longer than expected, it could be God at work on your behalf.

One of the things I'm learning is to give thanks to God in all things. Our Lord really is at work on our behalf and working out what's best which isn't always what's convenient or timely in our thinking.

Much love and hugs!

No I'm not on a waiting list.
The thing is, I have to find a therapist who specializes in anxiety, depression, PTSD, and relationship problems (specifically family)

It's harder than it seems to find people who specialize in all of those :/

The last person we contacted said she was out of availability but recommended us to someone she knows.

Another thing that makes it harder is my father (believe it or not) is a therapist and my mom a social worker, and I'm not aloud to see anyone they know so...

Why do you feel it has to be a therapist? Just look at the relationships you have right now with members of that particular group.

As Dr. Phil would ask, "How's THAT working for you?"

How much do you watch Dr. Phil?? Lol

Anyway,
My mother is
1) done with my attitude and wants our relationship to be fixed, and we've tried and failed (even though she cares more about her phone than me and has no awareness of how rude she can be to anyone but whatever)
2) Is aware of what I did in the past to cope with depression and is paranoid that I'm gonna do something drastic, so she thinks therapy will help

And I need someone to talk to that she is not constantly listening to or reading (emails, letters and such)
And I need someway to help my stupid anxiety. My therapist now has done her best, but she has even said to me that I need to find someone that specializes in that area.

Not to mention literally every person who knows I have the problems I do tell me to go see a therapist or take meds (which is never happening)

So, basically, you're being told you need to do this?

May I suggest you read an old book by Larry Crabb, entitled: Connecting? (Yeah, yet another person "telling" you what to do. LOL)

I mean, I'm not against therapy
It would be nice to have someone to talk to (in person)

But it's mostly because my mother wants me to

I'll look into it, is it at most book stores?

Do you want a therapist?
That's a complicated question.

It would be nice to have one, and if they can help that would be awesome.
But; I have a hard time trusting most therapists enough to talk to them anyway because of past experiences.

So kinda yea

If you have a problem, professional counselors can be helpful. You didn't impress me as a person with a problem.

I have depression (mild and seasonal), anxiety, and family relationship problems.

My old therapist says I have PTSD and I need a grief counselor but I've kinda just ignored her

The key to a good therapist could be someone in another state via FaceTime, vsee, zoom, etc. My area is small & everyone knows everyone. I found someone very good very far away. Only two sessions but she's a Christian & im hopeful.

I'd like to have someone I can talk to in person. I'm weird like that but I feel like people care a lot more when we are in the same room lol

I could say the cliche answer that God is the ultimate therapist and all you have to do is pray, I guess I just did. I'll pray for you and hope you find the person you are looking for. Online therapy is an option, if you're desperate but I advise against it.

"I don't need anger management, I need people to stop p#ssing me off"

It's not just you, TC. It takes more than one ingredient to make slop and you going to a therapist alone may help you, but not them. And they are as much the problem as you are... more so I'd say. I've spent my life in and out of therapy, and pretty much all of them agreed... I wasn't the one who needed to be there. Most who want to go voluntarily, aren't the ones who need to be there. Those around you need to go to their own just as much, but yeah, what's the chance of that happening?

God bless you, I'm praying for you to find someone to talk to. But I'm praying more for those who create the environment you respond to. May the Holy Spirit let them see their part as well, and bring peace to your home.
