I have been diabetic since I was 21/22 years old and have had ups and downs when it comes to controlling my diabetes. Long story short, my A1C used to be at 9.5 in 2014 so I made a few life style choices and got a Yoga DVD set and started doing that watching what I ate to better control my blood sugars. I went back to the doctor three months later and my A1C was 6.9 which was amazing to hear. My doctor was surprised at the results and decided to add to my meds, 2 pills that I would take in the morning as well in the night. I went back to the doctor in 3 months last year and my Ac1 had gone back to 9.2 since I had gone overboard on what I ate. Again the doctor told me to watch my weight and food intake. I decided to eliminate greasy foods so did that and worked out. Went back in 3 months and my A1C was 6.3 and my doctor now wants to see me in 6 months. I went back to the Dr. and gained a few pounds, I weighed at 196 and before I was 189 pounds. I was told to lose weight and watch what foods I ate. I go back to see the diabetes educator in a month so I want to lose at least 5 pounds or more. I have decided to start doing my Yoga and doing walking and biking on the side for an hour every day and doing an hour as I get better. I know I can do it it's just doing which I find hard. I want to better myself as I am only 32 years old and don't want to end up getting worse.
