It's a small procedure, literally 10 minutes with a tube in my throat and then just 2 hours waking up. I'm still nervous for some reason. I may or may not have sleep apnea, and that was the concern of the doctor who was at first gonna do it just at his clinic. For some reason when he said "the main concern is airway" it really freaked me out like "AM I GONNA SUFFOCATE!?!?!?"

So I guess prayer that I'm calm for the procedure.

psalm 46:10 He says, "Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth."

Isaiah 41:10 So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

I always love it when scripture directly talks about what is going on, because then you can't go "but this, but that." It's like, no the word says this so you have a concrete hope. Thank you babe.

I remember my last endoscopy ... it was the best nap I'd had in a long time!

Peace be with you

Thanks for sharing, friend. I just said a prayer for you, asking the Lord to surround you with His comfort and peace during this procedure. Be assured that He is even more concerned and is in control of your life. Please don’t get stressed out, but relax. Sending prayers and wishing you well!

Procedure went totally fine, took 45 minutes to have it done and wake up. No polyps, nothing irregular, took some biopsies that should come back next week. So far the only thing is a slight restriction of my base of my esophagus caused by allergies of all things. Gonna try to figure out whether that is just from acid, or food allergies, maybe even seasonal.

past that, praise the Lord, all good.

Goes to show that our imagination is what causes us to fear. Jesus knew that when he said "Take no thought of tomorrow".

I have found that fear really only lives in our imagination. When we are actually faced with any terrible problem, fear isn't there anymore - just adrenaline and the scramble in our makeup to survive and get through it.

I used to be one who feared a lot. Now I have learned not to "go there". I now live in the moment of what is, especially the good moments. I do not even know if I will be alive tomorrow to face whatever it is I might fear. I just enjoy the bite of food today, or the beauty of nature outside or a moment of no pain. Moments when you have no pain are to be treasured. Yet, most people take those moments for granted.

Glad to hear that all is okay. Your God is a very very good One. And His care is above reproach - it is perfect.

my husband Is going for a colonoscopy I think it's similar to endoscopy with camera. Its awful for him because he knows already he has cancer. I pray it goes ok because he's on blood thinners for the stroke he had.

I had an endoscopy. Them trying to put the IV in was the worst part. That was just unlucky for me is all. Not the norm.
But why are you not having a sleep study done to diagnose sleep apnea?

I've had 3 of them and I don't remember and didn't feel anything. I will pray for your nerves to be calm and for everything to go well.
