Healing of my acne please. Also, does anyone know any recipes that can help?

I suffered with it. Despite nearly every attempt to cure it or at least minimize it, I was plagued.
And dermatologists swore acne was not caused by food, as did family physician. So I didn't change my poor, very poor eating habits. I ain't the same foods. Had poor diet (lots of soda, chocolate ice cream, chocolate candy, sugar, processed foods), My emotions were a wreck: negative thoughts, lots worry, and under lots of stress.

If you drink soda, read the ingredients. Replace with water. I don't drink soda or juices. One cup of coffee a day. The rest is water.

If I would've changed my diet, drank lots of water, learned to control stress, and exercised regularly, I doubt all those changes would have cured the acne, but it would've helped.

Check to see if you have any food allergies.

Scrubbing will irritate skin. Use soaps that do not contain dyes, perfumes. Try: Dove for Sensitive Skin, or Johnson Baby Soap.

Try a facial fast! No makeup for a week. See what happens.

Most importantly, don't be fooled, those young men and women on billboards, the ones with the clear skin, they are advertising to the flesh. I think they have a makeup wizard who sprays their faces, their neck, their arms, and even their legs with some sort of potion that covers, hides marks, wrinkles, even the slightest characteristic mark on the skin. Oh such a pitiful life.

And if your big concern is what do guys see or think about acne on a girl. Well, many guys see it for what it is. Nothing more than a skin problem. That's it. It can be an attractive feature. How? If you exude some confidence, despite your acne, you're showing that your acne doesn't define you, control you. You are human. Mature guys don't want a Barbie...doll. I did say
mature guys.

Acne always feels and looks terrible to the one looking in the mirror.

And if your female friends gloat about their looks and all they have, no big deal. For you are not seeking to impress others. You are seeking to glorify God.

Rely on God. God is your strength. Cast your cares and burdens on Him.

Each day use water to wash your face. Soap is not recommended, since it will make break-out more prone.

Don't touch your face too much, your hands are oily.

Tell me what you think after a while...

I've never had serious acne. I always thought it was helpful to avoid foods high in fat.

I've struggled with acne over the years. Praise God, my current routine is really working.

I use sulfur soap to wash my face morning and night. I only use baby wipes (the ones made for sensitive skin) to wash my face because they are sterile.
After I wash my face in the morning, I apply sulfur ointment. I leave it on anywhere from 10 - 30 mins. depending on how much time I have.
After I rinse the sulfur ointment off, I apply moisturizer. You want use an oil-free, water based moisturizer, if you can find one. They aren't so easy to find over the counter. Currently, I use an oil free moisturizer from $1 Tree, and I mix it with pure aloe vera gel - more gel than moisturizer.

Night time routine:

I wash my face with the sulfur soap. Then, I apply an ORGANIC apple cider vinegar and Epsom salt toner with a cotton ball. I leave that on overnight, and repeat my morning routine in the morning.

How to make the ORGANIC apple cider vinegar and Epsom salt toner:
I use the apple cider vinegar cap. I pour about 1/4 apple cinder vinegar into the cap. I put a pinch of Epsom salt into it. You don't need a lot - just a few grains of salt. Then, add water filling the cap up. Using a cotton ball, saturate your face with the ACV and Epsom salt toner and leave it on overnight.

Epsom salt is good for inflammation. It will also cause your skin to peel gently. The acne will peel away slowly revealing healthier, fresher skin.

ACV is rich in natural alpha hydroxy acids. It also kills bacteria.

Sulfur ointment is good for detoxing the skin and cleansing the pores of oil, bacteria and blockages.

Warning: Initially, break outs can get worse for the first 3 months because these ingredients will cause your skin to detox and purge. It's going to bring up all those impurities and blockages and expel them through your skin. It's called a "healing crisis." You are on the way to better skin, if you can preserve through the healing crisis. Afterwards, things will balance out, and the acne really clears up. Praise God! At least, that's what happened for me.

Please google, read and research sulfur, apple cider vinegar and Epsom salt for acne and "healing crisis."

Diet is also another important factor. Make sure you drink enough water and get enough fiber in your diet, so that your bodily systems won't be as likely to detox through your skin.

I also suggest facial brushing. I use a soft bristle toothbrush. I put the sulfur soap on it and GENTLY scrub my face in a circular motion. It's a great way to remove dead skin and unclog pores. The electric facial brush was too harsh for me and caused irration, but the manual toothbrush has been great. Be sure to sanitizer the brush before and after each use. You don't want to put bacteria on your skin from a brush that hasn't been properly sanitized.

Best wishes. I pray that God heals your skin.

I agree with this
washing your face routine with water will help you..
and i agree with others who said diet on some certain food

and try to apply some mask:
rice mask is the best.. it has vitamin B3 i think? hmm i forgot :p
you just need to dilute with bit water to make a paste and apply (not daily.. probably 2x in a week)

coffee mask is good as detoxification your skin:
*add grounded coffee with bit of hot water (paste) and few drop of extra virgin olive oil or sunflower oil

last but not least you can reduce the dark spot (causes by acne) by using corn mask
grind fresh corn or just use corn flour and apply to face.. let it dry and wash it
(if its itchy hurry wash it, not all people suitable with this corn mask)

hope that help and will praying for you :)

Tough question to answer because it seems like acne is a bit different for everyone. What helped me when I was a teenager was to wash my face, morning and night with a good soap, and to sleep at night with a fresh hand towel on my pillow. I changed the towel every night so I wouldn't sleep on a dirty one and get unwanted bacteria back into a "clean" face. I was able to get cleared up of my acne in less than a year. I've heard some other people say what worked for me didn't do anything for them, so YMMV.
