I'm a new member here who has suffered a horrible anxiety disorder for over 20 years...was always afraid to ask for help even though I've prayed so long for mercy and God to help me find a way to cope with it.
Yesterday something made me take the day off from work and I found a Christian therapist ( I believe God directed Me to her) ...I called her and now I have an appointment for May,17th. :)

It was almost as if God was just waiting for me to do my part and he would begin to bless me and start me on a journey of healing. And most importantly please pray for this therapist that God will work through her.

Its been tough for me lately at my job because it seems it's getting more stressful and I need to hold it together until that day...I know that God is using this as a test...I pray for his protection to be all around me....bottom to top.

Thank you...and bless you all this day or night. :)
I have issues with extreme anxiety as well.. I hope the Christian therapist helps you out... I listen to classical music when I am anxious it really works well to calm me down.. No words just music. As for work if it is to stressful maybe it is time to find something different less stressful. I have been under major stress myself lately as I am trying to change some major things in my life right now.. I am scared and uncomfortable and I am constantly second guessing myself. So i can understand how you feel completely. Just take things slowly and listen to classical music lol... I pray that your anxiety calms down. sometimes we just have to make things less hectic to get ourselves to calm down. Maybe remind yourself to slow down and smell the roses so to speak.. your own happiness and sanity is worth more then your health going bad. If you feel you need to changes jobs do it it may be less money or something but you can adjust i am sure. or maybe you can find a different job all together making just about the same amount of money I am unsure as I do not know what you do. But there are ways to lesson your stress which will lessen your anxiety..

You are on to something about classical music...something so relaxing about it and I enjoy how creative, intricate and positive it sounds. Also no words in music is helpful.
Also having the Bible next to me every night after I've read some uplifting verses..even keeping the holy Bible within my reach during sleep seems to calm my spirit.Friday morning the holy spirit prompted me to go talk to my supervisor about possibly moving me to a less stressful job because I have been experiencing a rise in stress causing my anxiety attacks. He surprisingly understood and wanted me to know that if there was anything he could do to help..just let him know and he would see if my boss would agree to let me do this between now and my therapy date....so I feel like God is working his plans as I speak! I think God is teaching me that there is no shame in asking for his help...all we need to do is talk to him..he is our best friend who understands us better than we understand ourselves!

Happy Easter to all and what a friend we all have in Jesus! :)
Thank you for all of your prayers!
