If you want to keep using the internet create without guilt create a favorite list with only wholesome choices to view. What you have described is quite common, it doe's not make it right but please know that you are not alone in this addiction. I have said a prayer for God to deliver you from this addiction. Another suggestion, instead of going to those sites spend some time on this site. Glad to have you join us. Welcome to CC.

Praying

- There are apps you can install that block certain websites.
I don't know if you have to tell it specifically what sites to block or if it sort of understands it automatically based on site descriptions.

Finding accountability is one big help.
Blocking things on your phone and other internet devices, which will require another person to put in a password.
Contacting groups like XXXChurch.com
This isn't a full solution but is a good place to start.
Look up the group Fight The New Drug online or on fb. The storied and studies about porn reveal some shocking facts that may aid you in wanting to disconnect even more.
Lastly remember you are just one of many Christians that has this strugge, it's pretty common actually. Also it's not that uncommon for women anymore either.

I have a feeling that you've already tried most of what's suggested here. If nothing works still, check out the book called "Eyes of Honor" by Jonathan Welton. The latter part of the book may be more applicable to men (at least, for me) but it's a great start. Personally, the books that helped me a lot were Grace Revolution and Destined to Reign by Joseph Prince but they have very similar points. There are ebook versions available. I can buy one for you if needed. :) I know how terrible it is and I'd want to see you break free. God bless you, precious daughter of God.

Hello Gal, and welcome to CC!

I completely sympathize with your situation. A lot of good brothers and sisters have suggested temptation deprivation as a solution. Although I certainly understand, and know the Bible verses outlining this strategy, I think it is at best a temporary and possibly even detrimental endeavor.

Is averting your eyes, internet avoidance, maybe taking a different route to avoid temptation, etc... really solving the problem? Is that true freedom? Can't you merely conjure up the images you have already seen without additional stimuli? Sounds more like chains to me.

Realizing who you are, (a child of God), who Jesus is, (God in the flesh), what Jesus has done for you,( died on a cross, and resurrected to life) is the only way to be truly free of the flesh's and enemies CONSTANT attacks through temptations.

Pray for the Holy Spirit to reveal to you how much you are loved, and LIVE in the light of that Love, so that the temptations have no effect on you.

May God bless you in this trial. In Jesus Name I pray.

As you grow spiritually and faith increases, sin have no authority in life, so keep praising more, praying more, have faith more, do God's love more, read Bible more it will surely help.

Father God we pray for Gall342, let you give your strength, knowledge and wisdom, to say no to this sin and addiction problem, let you set Gal342, free from this and you be glorified inbGal342's life, in Jesus Holy name, Amen!
