After my graduation from the university, I could not get a job, I was able to save some money, so I rented a three bedroom apartment at the rate of $470 to start my own company where I do school research and also I am a computer instructor, I teach graduate and undergraduate students that are computer illiterate. This is what I have been doing for 3years now to feed myself and take care of my younger ones.

The owner of the apartment told me that my rent has been increased and he has giving me until the end of this week to move out if I cannot pay.

I don’t have enough cash to actually pay him, please, people of God, I need your prayers, I don’t have anywhere else to move my things to, if I can’t pay, it means I won’t be able to feed myself or even take care of my family.
My immediate younger sister is now in her final year in the university, I have been taken care of her bills (tuition fees, feeding, etc) since her first year, now she just have one more year to go, I can’t afford to lose my job now.

i am giving up, i really need your prayers and encouragements!

Thank you

Lord, I wish to pray for this man. I pray that he will find enough money to keep his apartment, or find somewhere else to stay. I pray that you will be with him, Father, and hold him in your divine hand. In Jesus's name, amen

I don't know how many days it's been since your landlord notified you of the rate increase, nor which state you live in (if it even matters which state), but check out this link. If they just gave you the notice, you might not need to leave for several more days than you think.

Well, my face is red.
Thanks, Huglife. I should pay better attention to the flags.

Synergy,
I'm sorry I wasn't any help. I will say a prayer for you and your family. I hope you are able to come up with some kind of solution. Legal, or otherwise. God bless you.

If I had money I would send some via paypal or something but sadly I have none, However Synergy you cannot give up. I have been where your at We were gong to lose our house and everything we owned my adopted family had relatives they could stay with but I had no one and nowhere I could go if we lost the house.

Everyone was freaking out and I was worried as well, I had some friends here who gave some money for food and I was very thankful however it was still not near enough to save the house.

So I had two choices I could have seen the storm as an impossible obstacle and accept the fact I was likely to be homeless or I could trust God and not allow my fear and worry to reign in my heart. Even though it looked like there was no way to save the house I chose to trust God even facing certain defeat my faith him remained and because of this while we are still having quite a few money problems the house is not going to be taken away.

Don't look at the storm look at who commands the storm to be still

Hi synergy,

No, u dont! You may seem to be at the edge of the cliff, but believing that with God all things are possible, you have a week, rather a few days more to believe and wait on His miracles. God knew ur prayer before u came to ask. Thank u for sharing ur burden, and I know the Lord will show that nothing is too difficult for Him. God bless u and ur family.

I’m so sorry to hear about your situation, friend. I know how difficult and frustrating it must be for you. I just said a prayer for you, asking the Lord to intervene in your situation, provide for all your needs, and surround you with many reminders of His unfailing watch-care. Be assured that He cares about every detail of your life and is able to work out everything good for you. Please don’t get stressed out, but stay strong. May your confidence in God’s grace and goodness increase as you look to Him in faith. Blessings to you and yours!

I'm sorry to hear about your financial situation, but something about your story bothers me and I'm not sure if it should. I am concerned that you graduated and was unable to find a job. Now, I am also a college graduate so I understand what it's like trying to get a job against others who actually have experience in the field as well as education. Usually, people don't get exactly the job with the pay they are expecting, it takes time to establish yourself in order to get where you want to be. As far as starting up a business sounds like a fantastic idea, but sometimes God wants you go outside of your comfort zone and apply somewhere you would never even think of and plus you would get a paycheck. Please don't think of me being judgemental because I am far from it, I am however saying it out of love and concern. Good luck and never give up :)

Another "God is on our side" story. Hubby and I got our foreclosure while he was on chemo. (Foreclosure is when the bank notifies you that you have three months to catch up on your mortgage or you're going to be kicked out of your house.) At that point, our mortgage was $550 a month, and our income was $839.

Three weeks before kick-out date, (and I had already figured out how to keep hubby on chemo, but we were going to be living in our car, so he was going to be in much more pain because being sick in winter and living in a car was going to make the sick feel worse), God provided the alternative. We still live in this house. (And, hubby didn't get the word "remission" after treatment. He got the word "cured!")

Soooo, I'm trying to get a clearly look at your situation. May I safely assume you can afford $470 a month still, but you can't afford the increase? Does that mean you owe the difference, or does that mean you owe $1410 + the increase? (As in you didn't pay anything for the last three months.)

How much do you need? (And, yes. I know CC says no one can ask for money, but you're not asking for money. I'm merely asking how much you need.)

And, I do get your little sister, (they're always our little sisters and brothers, even when they stop being little lol), is busy getting her degree, but can she not also pick up a part-time job to help with the difference? And, since she is your immediate younger sister, that means you've got even-younger-than-that siblings in your home. If any of them are of working age, can they get part-time jobs too?

I know this doesn't fix the problem of you only have until the end of the week, but if God sees fit to help you beyond the end of the week, then coming up with ideas on how to keep the apartment at higher prices in the future seems needed.

i'm sorry if I violated the rules and regulations of cc, I didn't know that I shouldn't talk about money here, I was just confused with the whole drama, I had no place to turn to, that's why I thought I could seek spiritual assistance from the people of God here!

there's no job here really but she has a little saloon where she makes hair, the place is not always functional as it disrupts her studies.

I have just $620 (the increment is $150) for now, I am still looking for $940 for two months + the increment. though I am putting some of my personal belongings on sale tomorrow but still, I can't come up with that kind of cash between now and Saturday though but hopefully, i could raise something!

i want to say a big thank you to all my Christian family on here for your concerns, i had never experience anything like this, your prayers, Bible quotations and words of encouragement has been keeping me going, whenever i come on here and see your messages pouring in, i feel loved and special.

thank you all, God bless!

Asking for money is against the rules here. Telling how much you need isn't. You did nothing wrong, because you asked for prayer, not money.

And, something I learned today -- your money isn't the same as ours, so even if it's little in the States, it's big where you live.

You're thinking how it is in America. He's in Nigeria. Our recession is finally going away. Theirs has been creeping up on them in the last couple of years. 13.9% unemployment rates. The worst America has had it in the last 10 years was 10% in 2009 -- the beginning of our Great Recession. Remember how hard it was for anyone to get any job back then? This is worse.
