I’d definitely get on James 1:5 and start waiting on the Lord concerning His game... don't just make up your own game plan.
He may want you to continue working with them to be a witness and to intercede. If He does, expect His protection from being fired or demoted... even if they continue to talk dat smak to yo face.
Here’s a few to chew on... concerning divine protection
Romans 16:20
And in a short time the God of peace will crush satan under your feet
Genesis 15:1
I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward
2 Thessalonians 1:6
It is a righteous thing with God to recompense trouble to them that trouble you
John 17:15,16
I pray not that thou should take them out of the world, but that thou should keep them from the evil....they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
James 4:7,8
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you....come close to God, and He will come close to you.
1 John 5:18
Whoever is born of God does not practice sin; but he that is born of God keeps (to guard as a fortress with God’s armor) himself, and that wicked one touches him not.
Luke 10:19
Look, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
1 Corinthians 10:13
There is no temptation (tests and trials brought by satan) that can come upon you but such as is common to man (things in this natural, carnal world): but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted (attacked by satan with testing and trials) beyond what you can handle; but will with the temptation (at the same time) also make a way to escape, that you may be able to have victory over it.
Isaiah 54:17
No weapon that is formed against you shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment YOU shall condemn
Here’s another one that’s good...
Proverbs 2:1-12
My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee;
So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding;
Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding;
If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures;
Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.
For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.
He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly.
He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of his saints.
Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path.
When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul;
Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee:
To deliver thee from the way of the evil man, from the man that speaketh froward things;
