A lady I know was drunk and fell down a flight of stairs. She broke her jaw, nose, and needs facial reconstruction surgery. It was so serious, she had to be flown to a regional hospital.

Her blood alcohol was .7, apparently .05 is the legal limit. She is very depressed, and more than anything, she needs Jesus. Pray that God will meet her, and she will be saved, even as He brings physical healing to her body.

Thanks!

Wow, Angela.

So sorry for that poor woman. I would imagine she's dealing with some shame too because of the way it all happened. But whatever is going on in her heart, God knows.

I'll be praying for her both spiritually and emotionally. Thanks for sharing her story so that we can pray.

Father God, I humbly come before Your Holy throne to ask for Your healing touch upon this woman's heart. We know, Lord, that substance abuse is usually a way to self medicate for the things which hurt us deeply and usually which we can do nothing about. I believe, Father, You see into her heart and know exactly what the pain is whose burden is so heavily out-weighing the hope that can only be found in You. I believe You to be the "Good Shepherd" and to find the lost just where they are, bringing them into Your loving arms exactly when they need You most. I ask for the physical healing of this woman, but more than that, LORD, I ask for Your embrace to pull her close enough to hear the beat of the heart of the One True God... her very own heavenly Father. You are the healer and lover of all souls~ Touch her in the depth of her hurt, Lord, and let her know it is YOUR VERY OWN Love which has enveloped her wounds. In the name of Your Beautiful Son, Jesus, I pray~

But now, this is what the LORD says — he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel: "Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine."

She was in surgery today! She is still in denial she is an alcoholic. I reached out to her, gave her a bit of my testimony. She was supposed to move across the country in 2 weeks, now everything is a mess. She has no where to go, doesn't want to move.

Please pray I can share Jesus with her, and that my testimony will have meaning. She lives in a place (province!) where being drunk and living a terrible lifestyle is a way of life. No addiction counsellors, not even sure about AA. She just needs Jesus!

Thanks for all of you who are praying. Keep on praying, because the next few days are dangerous as she goes through the DTs in withdrawal.

Alcoholism has such a tight grip on people's lives. It's terrible to see.

Lord I pray that this grip would be released in this person's life, that she
will run from it for all it's worth, that she will come to an end of herself and
see the terrible truth about the way it damages, ensnares and enslaves.

Lord thank you for Angela I pray the love of the lord will shine through her
and that this woman will see life can be so different. Give this lady supernatural
strength to fight this addiction and the symptons of withdrawal.

Amen
